How is the (catholic) church Apostolic?
Scala Regia

I am writing a paper and I need some details on how this mark of the church is related to the others (one, holy, catholic) and how we can use it today. Thank you so much! This might help me get my grade higher.

The Catholic Church is apostolic because she is founded on the apostles, in three ways:

+ She was and remains built on the foundation of the Apostles, the witnesses chosen and sent on mission by Christ himself;

+ With the help of the Holy Spirit dwelling in her, the Church keeps and hands on the teaching, the words she has heard from the apostles;

+ She continues to be taught, sanctified, and guided by the apostles until Christ's return, through their successors, the college of bishops, in union with the successor of Simon Peter, the Church's supreme pastor, the Pope.

They are the same.

He started going to a Apostolic Pentecostal church a couple years ago and its brainwashed him. How do I bring him back to the Catholic Church? How do I get him out of that brainwashing church?
CATHOLICS ANSWER ONLY, PLEASE.
How do you get someone to come to the church after being this?

Apostolic Pentecostalism; The Cult of Christianity
Not all religions are cults but when emotional manipulation is used to recruit members it definitely starts to fall into that category. Leave him alone.

Think positively. At least he didn't embrace Islam.

Difference between Armenian Apostolic Church and Catholic Church (quick question)?
Mass of Thanksgiving for the Apostolic Nuncio

Today, I took an end of the year test for my Sunday School and one of the questions was: What is a big difference between the Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church(hint - it has to do with Mary, the mother of Jesus)?

I could not figure out the answer! Does anyone know it?
(By the way, I'm not Catholic, I'm Armenian Apostolic)

thanks!

Hmmm...I can only guess.

I thought *this* was the primary division (has nothing directly to do with Mary)

(Roman Catholics believing in dyophysitism).

However, I suspect that one of these things below might answer your question

a) Roman Catholics believe in the doctrine of "immaculate conception" - that Mary was conceived and born without Original Sin, the only person beside Jesus *born* without Original Sin

b) Roman Catholics believe that Mary was "ever virgin" - that she never had sexual relations during her lifetime

c) Roman Catholics believe that Mary was assumed bodily into Heaven at the moment of her death

Are there any differences from the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Catholic Church?

The Pope would be a big one.

  • Write your mind: How to Conceptualize a Unique Apostolic Wedding

    The Apostolic wedding is either characterized as an Apostolic Christian Church or an Apostolic Catholic Church. Each of these types portrays individual wedding policies that need to be followed, although some of them can be altered.

    Apostolic weddings are personalized by deciding for a particular location wherein both the groom and the brides finds a pleasure of celebrating their wedding there. It is a given fact that the Apostolic church is a conventional location, however, some couples enjoy a different setting by considering some other option such as a wonderful public garden, a relative's house, or some other venues that are special to them. You don't have to worry if you want to pursue a non-church wedding. The Catholic church would allow it, but first is you will have to talk...

    Catholic Bible Student: Apostolic Exhortation on the Bible to Come ...

    I do not know how I missed this headline from Catholic News Agency , but they reported on March 10 that the Pope's Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation on the Bible will come out soon, just after Easter. I am looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of it. Perhaps I'll offer a up a few posts on it once I have given it a good read. So keep your eyes peeled for the document. I have a feeling it will be quite important.
