I am not a Catholic but I love the art inside their Churches.
A lot of these stuff can't be found in museums.
I work for my diocesan newspaper, and I take photos in churches all the time at the bishop's request, even during Mass or other rites.
As you are not working for the bishop, it would be best if you call the parish ahead of time and ask when it would be all right for you to stop in and take some photographs. If you want photos of the windows, you'll need a tripod (believe me, it's the only way), and that sort of thing is a real nusiance to people who are in the church for a prayer service (Rosary) or Mass or Holy Hour or whatever.
You might consider offering digital copies of the photos you take for the church to use in bulletins or whatever, in return for a chance to take the photos.
I paint and draw pictures for Catholic church's. They are very nice but do you think that I could sell them to other people?
There is no shortage of catholics in america.
BILLIONS??? TRILLIONS???
According to some the wealth of the Roman Catholic Church cannot be calculated. Next to prostitution it is the world's oldest business; operating at a profit non-stop for the past 2,000 years.
It is nearly a rule of thumb that any country dominated by Roman Catholicism is poor for the simple reason that this "church" rakes in more then it gives out.
According to one history book used in American public schools, from a well know educational publishing house, the major source of income for the nation, know as the Vatican in Rome, is tourism and postage stamps? (Best laugh I have had in years)
One wonders why the U.S. Postal Service was never as successful; with its corner on postage stamps and first day covers. Perhaps a Swiss Guard for their undisclosed bank accounts would help.
In Pedophile matters in the Los Angeles, CA, area in past years I recall seeing reports on between 600 and 800 Roman church bank accounts; turned up when courts attempted to find the church worth, in that area alone. In attempting to reach just settlements, church spokesmen were complaining there was no way to track all the accounts; because of the way they were set up. That I believe.
Don't forget the system of accounting used by the entire world came out of the Roman Catholic Church. They are the authority on keeping account of money and all other worldly religious and political activity.

The bCatholic/b Thing - The bArt/b of Obama
The Judiciary Committee in the U.S. House was working at the time on the bill on partial-birth abortion, and I had given as a gift to the committee one of my best students from Amherst. He called me one night in disbelief: He had just seen a Democratic senator from California on “Nightline,” and she declared that she could support the bill only if it contained a provision to allow this grisly procedure if it were truly necessary for the “health” of the pregnant woman. “But the bill,” he said, “does contain a ‘health exception.’ How could she look straight into the camera and say such a thing?” The simplest explanation was she thought she could get away with it: Most people out there in the public would not know she was speaking falsely,...

Sometime in the mid 1920’s, fourteen year old Georges de Sarre was enrolled at St. Claude, a Catholic boys’ boarding school somewhere in France, to receive a “fundamentally Christian formation.” As was typical of such schools, there was supposed to be no contact between the three oldest forms and the three youngest forms, a divide the boys were only supposed to cross if they were brothers. Georges was in the older group. Alexandre Motier was twelve years old and in the younger group. Georges noticed the younger boy in church, and the two of them began a clandestine relationship, passing notes and meeting secretly in the school greenhouse, risking everything for the sake of each other. While there was never any sexual acting out in these meetings, there was as high...
