Is it -
1. Come - We come together in Mass as one Body, gathering before our Lord
2. Listen - Listening to the Bible readings, the Word of our Lord and Homily
3. Do - Praying and participating in the Eucharist, becoming One with Him
4. Go - The sendoff where we bring this message to all the world
That's one way of summing it up, though I never heard it worded quite that way. The principle focus of the Mass however is #3. The rest just sets a framework within which the Eucharist can take place.
A complete Catholic Eucharistic Liturgy celebrated on the feast of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, 2008 at the begining of the year of St. Paul.
i went to a cath church last week and i almost died of boredom...why are they so freaking long and boring and how do you cath stand it,speaking of stand, there was alot of standing up which was also annoying
Avoid going to that place; it is not a church at all but an abominable place. Catholics are not christians since they not obey the Bible but Rome . Go to a christian church , try baptist church or pentecostal.
I moved to Torino Italy about 1 month ago. I am having a difficult time finding a Catholic Church with an English Mass. Any suggestions? Please help.
Try:
+ Chiesa di San Rocco with the English-speaking African community
+ Chiesa S. Giovanni Evangelista with the Tagalog and English-speaking Filipino community
+ Cappella Istituto Sacra Famiglia with the English-speaking Nigerian community

Although I strongly suggest you also attend mass in Italian.

if you don't know 5 just share what you do know.
Catholic mass includes communion which they consider the literal blood and body of Jesus.
Protestants put more emphasis on teaching, - rather than rituals.
I've been invited to atteded with my boyfriend to his church and i dont really know what to expect really i am not catholic and was wondering what goes on during mass
Thank you for showing respect by asking. And welcome.

Should I raise my hands at bMass/b during the Our Father? « Mary#39;s Anawim

From Reverend Know-it-all :
Dear Rev. Know-It-All,
I was distressed this past Sunday when the priest celebrating Mass that I attend forbad people to raise their hands at the Our Father. Only the priest should raise his hands in prayer. He was very insistent and I am very confused. Was he correct in saying this?
Joy Buzkil
Dear Joy,
Perhaps this particular priest is a liturgist. I am sure you have heard the question asked, “What is the difference between a liturgist and a terrorist? You can negotiate with a terrorist.” Enough levity.
Actually, there is a point behind your priest’s inflexibility, but often, especially when I stick my nose in, a simple question has a long answer. Here goes.
...The Confirmation Question | bCatholic/b Exchange
Today I overheard a very interesting conversation regarding the Sacrament of Confirmation. Two women, both involved in religious education, were discussing whether teenagers should be made to make their confirmation. They both agreed that they should. They felt that it was part of the responsibility of the parents to make sure this happens. They promised to raise their children in the faith at Baptism. This is the culmination of that process. I admit, this is not how I ever looked at this particular sacrament. I understand their position, but I have always been staunchly of the opinion that Confirmation needs to be freely chosen by the candidate. It needs to be that person’s commitment to the faith.
In our current culture, children are brought forth for Baptism at an early age. My own children were both less than two months old. Yes, I made that commitment for them. I promised to raise them as a Catholics and to teach them the faith. My older son now receives Communion and goes to Reconciliation regularly. He was excited to have the opportunity to do so. My younger son will be receiving those sacraments this year and is also very excited. I hold out hope that when the time comes for them to make their Confirmation, they will be ready to make that personal commitment to the faith.
