SAN FRANCISCO -- Parishioners of the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in San Francisco's Castro neighborhood plan to arrive early for morning Mass today so they can paint over walls that were scrawled with swastikas and other graffiti.
A priest walking his dog early Sunday outside the church at 100 Diamond St. found the black swastikas and angry messages about Proposition 8, the state constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage that voters approved in November, a church employee said Monday. The vandalized walls were washed Monday morning to remove most of the scrawlings.
What do they hope to accomplish besides nothing?
I suspect the problem was that it was a Catholic church. The Catholic Church has had the same pro-family doctrines since 33 AD. Unlike the Episcopalians, Presbyterians, Church of Christ, and other churches ruled by the people of this world, the Catholic Church is not going to overrule Christ to placate the latest worldly fad favoring sexual profligacy. That's why the leftist Protestants are bleeding members and the Catholics (and Mormons) are doing well.
Cheers,
Bruce

Oh boy. This is a tragedy. Not because he was religious but because he couldn't handle his emotions. Lots of people have ex-wives they don't go overboard like this, christian or not.
Hi i live in Lingnan university and I want to find the closest Catholic church. I think the only two in Tuen Mun is the St. Matthew the Apostle Parish (which I don't know the address) and the Holy Redeemer Church (2 Hueng Sze Wui Road, Tuen Mun). Can somebody please tell me how to get to either one and which one would be the closest? Thank you so much.
I know the location of St. Matthew the Apostle Church is located at 新 界 屯 門 蝴 蝶 邨小 學 校 舍 第 二 座, 仁 德 天 主 教 小 學. is located at Butterfly Estate of Tuen Mun. ( Address: Yan Tak Catholic Primary School, Butterfly Estate, Tuen Mun, NT).
For St. Matthew the Apostle Church is nearer and you can take A73 from bus stop outside Lingnan University to Tuen Mun Ferry Pier Terminus. Transfer to LRT 614 or 615 towards Yuen Long direction and alight @ Butterfly Estate Station. Walk into Butterdly Estate Park to get there. HK$4.60 by bus. HK$4 for LRT by cash, HK$3.6 if pay by Octopus Card.
As for Holy Redeemer Church, its easier to get by, take A73 from bus stop outside Lingnan University to Tuen Mun Town Ctr LRT Stn bus stop. Transfer LRT 505, 507 or 751 towards Yuen Long direction and alight @ Tuen Mun Station. Walk on Pui To Road to your right and turn into Hueng Sze Wui Road on your right to get there. A73 for 5 stops after Lingnan University. LRT for 1 station.

I had to get a newspaper article and make a story of it:
She had golden locks that resemble a cascade of waters. Her name was Neumann and she was in the 9th grade. Active as can be she joined the cross country team and found herself excelling. However, Neumann started noticing that she lost 10 pounds and became extremely irritable. She did not want to go to Mother of our Redeemers Catholic church and this was very unusual since Neumann used to love attending church and she was in the church chorus as well as the church youth group but her decrease passion towards church made her parents fret. Neumann was a petite girl who wandered from place to place with a careless motion, she had a boyfriend named Jacob who loved her dearly. Neumann was feeling very sick that week and after going to the doctor with her boyfriend Jacob she confirmed she was pregnant. Her parents did not know what was going on and she was too scared to tell them so she decided to keep it a secret until she had the strength and courage to tell them. Days passed and her symptoms increased to the point that her parents began to notice something was wrong and her parents asked her if she wanted to go to the doctor “No I am fine it will pass”, she said. Her biggest fear was going to the doctor with her parents and having the doctor say she was pregnant. Two days later as she was sprinting outside she felt so sick she collapsed. Her coach immediately called her parents and Neumann was rushed to the doctors. “Your daughter had a Diabetic Ketoacidosis”, the doctor said. “There is nothing our god can’t cure”, said the mother. The doctor prescribed some medication but her father politely refused he said there god will heal her by natural remedy. From that day on her parents began taking her to church while her condition became worse. She had diabetes and she knew she needed medicine. “Mom I need medicine. I can’t depend on this church. This is ridiculous I’m going to die!”, said Neumann. Her mother ignored her as she rubbed holy water all over her head. Two months later Neumann died. Jacob took it upon himself to convict Neumann’s parents of reckless homicide for using prayer rather than medical care for their dying daughter and her unborn child.

She had golden locks that resemble(d) a cascade of waters. Her name was Neumann and she was in the 9th grade. (Neumann was a petite girl who wandered from place to place with a careless motion,(and) had a boyfriend named Jacob who loved her dearly.) Active as can be, she joined the cross country team and found herself excelling (at what?). However, Neumann (began to notice) that she (had) lost 10 pounds and (was also) extremely irritable. She did not want to go to Mother of our Redeemers Catholic (C)hurch, (which) was very unusual since Neumann used to love attending church(.) (S)he was in the church chorus as well as the church youth group but her decreas(ing) (interest) towards church made her parents fret. Neumann was feeling very sick that week and after going to the doctor with her boyfriend Jacob (it was) confirmed she was pregnant. Her parents did not know what was going on and she was too scared to tell them so she decided to keep it a secret until she had the strength and courage to tell them. Days passed and her symptoms increased to the point that her parents began to notice something was wrong and her parents asked her if she wanted to go to the doctor “No I('m) fine it('ll) pass”, she said. Her biggest fear was going to the doctor with her parents and having the doctor (tell them) she was pregnant. The doctor prescribed some medication but her father politely refused(, saying, " our god will heal her by natural remedy.") From that day on her parents began taking her to church while her condition became worse. She had diabetes and she knew she needed medicine. “Mom, I need medicine. I can’t depend on this church. This is ridiculous, I’m going to die!”, said Neumann. Her mother ignored her as she rubbed holy water all over her head. Two months later Neumann died. Jacob took it upon himself to convict Neumann’s parents of reckless homicide for using prayer rather than medical care for their (deceased) daughter and her unborn child.
*For your story, I modified the dialogue because she sounded too grammatically correct, and also you need to stick with past tense, or stick with present tense. When you say it was "confirmed she was pregnant", you have to indicate somewhere before that part that she suspected she was pregnant because you used the word confirmed. Otherwise, just say "the doctor told her she was pregnant". You don't need to be that specific about the church, it's kind of irrelevant. Also, somewhere in there I would add that her parents found out she was pregnant, either by Jacob telling them when he convicted the parents, or she gave in and told them. For the last sentence, it sounds a bit awkward by using "dying daughter and her unborn child", since she is dead now, but wasn't dead when they used prayer rather than medical care. Perhaps you should rephrase it? Either way, you have a very complex story squeezed into a short story, which was very interesting!
may I share with you what the Catechism of the Catholic Church says about it, and then hear YOUR answers:
CCC 1 - God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life. For this reason, at every time and in every place, God draws close to man. He calls man to seek him, to know him, to love him with all his strength. He calls together all men, scattered and divided by sin, into the unity of his family, the Church. To accomplish this, when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son as Redeemer and Savior. In his Son and through him, he invites men to become, in the Holy Spirit, his adopted children and thus heirs of his blessed life.
CCC 2 - So that this call should resound throughout the world, Christ sent forth the apostles he had chosen, commissioning them to proclaim the gospel: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age." Strengthened by this mission, the apostles "went forth and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that attended it."
