well.. how can a christian protestant or just a christian.., a person who says he follows only jesus and the bible.. can forget there was a church who collected the NT in many councils and to forget the historical tradition about jesus and to say he is christian.. when there were many christian martyrs during the the first century.. do protestants are aware the catholic church was the first church and which collected the NT and made many of the doctrines like the holy trinity and the concept of hell and heaven and etc.. how can you forget that? that's christianity history..any book could tell you that..before any pastor who says jesus was the messiah or the only way to God.. there were fathers and popes.. in the middle ages..and the Bible was there..but martin luther made the Bible for everyone.. now we have many christian churches or protestant churches and people who claim they are christians without knowing there was a church which collected the Bible and developed the doctrines..

The Catholic Church has consistently referred to itself as the “Catholic Church” at least since 107 AD, when the term appears in the writings of St. Ignatius of Antioch
The new Anglican Church in England started using the term “Roman” in the 1500s as one of many ways of demeaning and demonizing Catholics.
Catholics accepted this late coming adjective without too much protest. Today “Catholic” and “Roman Catholic” are interchangeable terms. Both terms are even used in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
To add a little more confusion, some apply the term “Roman Catholic Church” only to the Latin Rite Catholic Church, excluding the Eastern Rite Catholic Churches that are in full communion with the Pope, and are part of the same Church, under the Pope.
The term “Roman” neither increases nor decreases the faith, hope and love of the Catholic Church.
With love in Christ.
If you are Protestant, how do you work towards the goal of Christian Unity? Just being amicable and respectful to each other doesn't seem to fulfill Jesus' desire, "that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you."(John 17:20ff). If you believe in the Trinity, you have to say that the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit are three separate personalities sharing one divine essence. How does having different denominations achieve this goal? Since the reformation there have been more than 33,000 different Christian denominations. Since there was only one prior to having any divisions (two big ones in 1054 and the early 16th century), doesn't it make sense that in order to restore unity to the Body of Christ, that one must return to the mother of all Christian Churches (The Roman Catholic Church)?
I think the question has to be asked did Jesus decide during the middle ages that He would now divide His church after 1500yrs?
If so then the scriptures are totally wrong were Jesus states that the gates of Hell will not prevail etc,and if the scriptures are wrong on this then no scripture can be trusted or valid.
Secondly if Jesus did not desire this divide then only one other being did Satan, whose aim is to divide and conquer.
Luther was to my mind in the same position that Peter was in when Christ rebuked Satan speaking through him, Luther was not and I repeat not speaking with the Holy Spirit of truth but by the Father of lies and deception, and Calvin quickly followed suit, both these men were totally influenced and manipulated and they were so filled with pride they couldn`t even see it.
Satan will do all that he can to prevent the true church being unified again and Jesus will continue to allow us free will to decide, but to fight against His church is to fight against Christ Himself and none of this `Saved again` claim will be an acceptable excuse at the final reckoning.

The Observations...
a) Carved or molten images (Statues) of Jesus Christ and his mother Mary, in various sizes and shapes, are to be found in the Catholic Churches, all around the world.
b) Most of these Sacred Statues are placed in the prominent places of the Prayer Halls of these Christian Churches for venerating and worshipping.
c) One would also notice that the majority of the attending congregates would kneel, worship, venerate and pray before these Holy Images as their reverent rituals. Many devoted believers would place lighted candles in front of these Sacred Statues, before paying their homage.
d) These Catholic congregates who venerate Lord Jesus as their God and Virgin Mary as the "Mother of God", do form the bulk of the Christians community. It has been so since the inception of the Roman Catholic Church. The Protestants, who separated from the Roman Catholics, nearly ten centuries after the advent of Islam, do not have the Statues of Mother Mary in their Churches.
e) These observations clearly indicate that Virgin Mary has been venerated with hyperdulia, along with her son Jesus, by the majority of the Christians, from the early years of the Catholicism.
f) As for the Holy Ghost, the third person of the Holy Trinity, no Christian Church has so far instituted its venerating representation, image or semblance for their Churchgoers.
when the issue is of Worshipping, Venerating, Deifying or Idolizing, it is Mary - the "Mother of God" & not the Holy Ghost has that kind of rank and status. Briefly, the historical figures of Jesus and Mary are venerated as Deities.
The Holy Ghost is not venerated as a Deity. Theologically speaking, the concept of Holy Ghost as ‘Filioque’(“a double procession”) was added to the Original Doctrine much later. As taught by the Greek theologians & advocated by St. Augustine, it simply makes the Holy Ghost a “go-between” communications or things that proceed from the Father & is received by an individual via Jesus Christ. One may argue that since the Holy Ghost emanates from God the Father, it is also God. In reality, this would only be possible if there was a "total emanation" (100% transfer). If that be the case, then the Primary Source has either annihilated Himself (Itself) or has produced a Clone. God the Father still exists & Christians with their Trinitarian Beliefs yet claim God is One.
During his ministry, Jesus Christ had taught in very explicit language to worship the “Father in Heaven” (see Matthew 6:5-13). Jesus never ever taught his followers to make images of him and/or his mother and then venerate either of them. In this regards, the Protestants consider themselves a step ahead and reformed than their counterparts.
If the Holy Spirit/Ghost is the father of Jesus (Luke 1:35), then why is the central figure of your trinity called God the Father?
no. The catholic got it all wrong.
What is the Difference between Roman Catholic, and Pentecostal Christian?
Catholics have the Virgin Mary, thousands of saints (saint john, saint valentine, saint patrick, many diff saints), and the holy trinity and have many Statues in their churches. and many things are gold. The priest do all the work in services
The Christians only have the holy trinity have small humble churches have there congregation take charge of some activitist, and have ministers come and visit and preach, and explore the world
but what else is different? and if they are so different, why are they still considered Christian?
Also The Catholic have 7 extra books, and are more party people
protestant is the umbrela term, and pentecostal is a specific branch. protestant have other branches like baptist and others
Both have become apostate.
Yes the Catholics have Mary, the mother of Jesus, James, Joses, Simon, and Judas. Matthew 13:55. Virgin? Not according to the Bible.
They have thousands of saints a.k.a. dead people. Saints? More like criminal, murders, fornicators and spiritual adulterers.
The Trinity. Ah got one right.
Statues in their churches. Exodus 20:4 prohibits this.
Yes some Catholics are Charismatic like the Pentecostals but this only adds to the list above.
The Mother of Harlots (The Roman Catholic Church) Revelation 17, is calling her protestant daughters home. "We are both charismatic and seek after signs, come home dear harlots".
Matthew 16:4a A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign;..
Too busy doing wonders, to read and study the Bible, the Pentacostals are hearing the call for ecumenical unity.
The Catholic Church is a false pagan Christian look-alike religion, which teaches that it takes more than faith to be saved. Thereby millions of Catholics are trying to work their way to Heaven but are on their way to Hell. Many of the Pentacostals with their easy believism are heading the broad way as well.
Proverbs 21:16 The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
