The Right Honourable Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, is now a Roman Catholic. He is a religious man, but modern and supports women's rights and the rights of gay men and lesbain women. Should he be given a formal role in the Church, I suggest Deputy Pope, so he can use his skills to modernise the Church? The Pope needs someone like Blair to give him guidance.
Absolutely not. The last thing the Church needs is a newly converted Cafeteria Catholic having any authority.
How about the Ukranian Roman catholic Church......Do they have different Pope or Bishop???
I spoke to an Eastern Orthodox woman the other day and asked the diferences(I'm catholic) and she said...1.They don't have a pope
2.they don't believe the Immaculate Conception was the conception of Mary
3.they have the Apostles Creed as opposed to the Nicene-the difference being, Catholic-"the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son" E.D.- the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father
4.their priests can be married
and there is one more that I can't remember, but it has to do with works of salvation

Also, the Bible describes the Antichrist power in several points that can only be the Vatican:
1) It is both a church and a state.
2) It sits on 7 hills.
3) Its colors are purple and scarlet.
4) It is a persecuting power.
5) It rules with an iron fist for 1260 years.
6) In 1798 it suffers a "deadly wound" from which it later recovers.
7) It claims the right to forgive sins
8) It claims the place of God on Earth
9) It seeks to change God's times and laws
10) It contains elements of ancient Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome
11) It gets its power and seat from pagan Rome
12) When it begins, it destroys 3 other tribes
13) It has "harlot" daughters (fallen "Protestant" churches)

This time, however, the danger is greater. It has become more international and menacing, threatening even Pope Benedict, who has done the most in recent years to purge what on Good Friday 2005 he called "the filth" out of the Church and also out of modern society. Clearly, that is a major reason he is such a target.

VATICAN CITY—Calling the behavior shameful, sinful, and much more frequent than the Vatican was comfortable with, Pope Benedict XVI vowed this week to bring the widespread pedophilia within the Roman Catholic Church down to a more manageable level.
Addressing thousands gathered at St. Peter’s Square on Easter Sunday, the pontiff offered his “most humble apologies” to abuse victims, and pledged to reduce the total number of molestations by 60 percent over the next five years.
“This is absolutely unacceptable,” Pope Benedict said. “It seems a weakening of faith in God has prevented our priests from exercising moderation when sexually abusing helpless minors.”
“And let me remind our clergy of the holy vows they all took when they entered the priesthood,” he continued. “They should know that they’re only allowed one small child every other month.”
