What book that I read as a child in the early 80's contains a garden of statues who come to life at night?
Angels in the Gardens

I remember the main character as being a girl who is transformed into a statue too by magic and at one point in the book she swims across a lake to some sort of temple where the statues gather... There's a boy in it too who's also transformed.

"Draughty," said Eliza, "and law, what a lot of steps to clean! What they make houses for without no walls to 'em? Who'd live in," She broke off, stared, and added: "What's that?"

"What?"

"That white thing coming down the steps. Why, it's a young man in statooary."

"The statues do come alive here, after sunset," said Gerald in very matter-of-fact tones.

"I see they do." Eliza did not seem at all surprised or alarmed. "There's another of 'em. Look at them little wings to his feet like pigeons."

"I expect that's Mercury," said Gerald.

"It's 'Hermes' under the statue that's got wings on its feet, said Mabel, "but "

Can anyone help me with these strange dreams?
Australia, Melbourne: Curiosity

First one: I'm in a memorial garden with religious statues everywhere, I'm kneeling before one of Jesus, when i look up and for a few seconds it comes to life, a bit of a facial twitch, then it starts crying. I run to the nearest church and tell the priest, but he doesn't believe me, no one does.
I'm not a particularly religious person.

Second one: A bit "Brother's Grimm". A girl is looking for her necklace in the garden, with her bf or some other male friend. They start digging in the dirt and find a sort of casket with the necklace inside. But they have to swap her heart for the necklace. The boy gets a dagger and digs out her heart, gives it to me and i go and rinse it under a tap. It is literally heart shaped. He puts the girl's heart in the casket, and then places the casket in her chest, and puts the necklace around her neck. Then he has to pierce a long sword through her chest (form armpit to armpit) to keep the casket in place.
I never have dreams like these, and they seem to be symbolic. what do they mean?
Ms Starr, no, neither, I hadn't watched anything, they just came right out of the blue!

wow thats wierd....though at least ur not dreaming of conjoined twins.....so.....every cloud

You have obviously not visited your local Brocante, all the items you mention can be found (with a little bit of leg work) at very reasonable prices eg 2 metre tall female statue in my local Brocante is €75, big urns from €40 = delivery from €5 to €20 depending on how far away you live.

Little Whizzer Novelty Liquor Dispenser
Island Dogs

Price: $19.98 $15.99

nspired by Brussels' famous Mannekin Pis ("little man piss") fountain statue, the Little Whizzer liquor dispenser will provide your guests with a funny ( and slightly disturbing ) drinking experience.
The Little Whizzer Liquor Dispenser measures 12 1/2? high and uses 2 AA batteries. Drinks are dispensed at the push of a button.

Movie with a boy who goes to visit relatives or something ... encounters a ghost girl?
Jardin des Tuileries - Paris (France)

Does anyone know what that movie is? I'm guessing it's a kid's fantasy movie from the 90's. When the boy arrives at his relatives house he breaks a statue or something. I believe he is lonely and withdrawn and escapes into a fantasy world. He meets a girl who is a ghost. There is a hut or some secret room in the garden where he goes. His first kiss is with the ghost girl.
It is definately something from the 90s. Or 80s at the most.

The one movie that comes to mind right now is "The Dust Factory", with Hayden Panettiere. Though she is not exactly a ghost, but she's in a comma.
It also involves a fantasy world...

the topriary garden by janni howker. I ideas for a story-I've been reading a book at school called badger on
The chase

One of the stories callled The Topiary Garden which is about a girl names Liz who wins a prize in secondary school which is a artbook and her brothers graffitis on it by drawing a nude woman focusing on the rude bits. She gets mad when she shows her dad and he laughs and so she storms off saying how sometimes she wants to be a boy. Lizs mum died long time ago. When she is away she meets a old lady named sally who says she was once a boy.Sally says a quote 'red at night is shepards delight'.When Liz gets back home she draws a picture and a caption which she altered to 'and she met a stranger who said red at night is my delight for i was a boy once apon a time' Then she goes into a place called the topriary garden and in the middle she sees a statue of a nude woman. She drew a picture and the caption 'The stranger took her to the topriary garden and showed her a woman turned to stone. The story is telling about sexism. The story i write is on either 'red at night is my d...' or 'the stra...'
