Very Sorry, Maldives is a 100% Muslim Country.

The Language is Unique, but please respect the Country and different Culthures.

Thanks again for your interest in Dhivehi Language, But Maldives is 100% Sunni Muslim Country,,,,

Non-Catholic denominations claim that they did not begin new churches, but merely quot;reformedquot; the old one. In answer we ask, Did the True ...
Our Father
Hail Mary
Glory Be
Apostles Creed
Act of Contrition
Also, in DIALECTS of the major languages. I need them for a compilation. The prayers are: SIGN OF THE CROSS, OUR FATHER, HAIL MARY, GLORY BE TO THE FATHER and APOSTLES' CREED.
Hang on, and let me do some research for you. I've already found this website that has a listing of prayers in different languages:
http://lphrc.org/rmk/cath.html
This website lists the Rosary prayers (which covers just about everything you've listed) in other languages:
http://www.rosary-center.org/howto.htm
As far as dialects of the languages are concerned, I suggest you post this same question on the Language Forum and see if anyone can point you towards a good website. I'm drawing a complete blank on that part of your question.
Good luck finding what you need! :)
If you can give me a page number in the "New American Bible Offical Catholic Bible" that would be great.
for John 3:16 i have "For God so loved the world that he gave his only son..."
Hail Mary, The Apostles' Creed and Our Father for starters.
im becoming catholic and i wanted to know some basic prayers to say before bed and before meals and the prayer format.
thanks a bunch
not a catholic anymore (I am FREE of god, thank god), but I always liked the bedtime prayer/ first I ever learned... "Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love, commits me here...Ever this Night, be at my side; to light, to guard, to rule, AMEN.. (or "ever this Day " if you prefer it as a morning prayer...and not sure why an angel is ruling, but I leave the mysteries to the Faithful).. and of course the classic meal prayer is "Bless us O Lord, and these thy gifts that we are about to receive, AMEN..." (god listens better if you use archaic English terms like "thy" even though it only dates back hundreds of years, and not thousands like actual Hebrew... gives a prayer more class to sound old I guess, but not too old or too Jewish...)

Holy Thursday « My Catholic Prayer Place
Today is the start of the Triduum, the three days leading up to Easter, and tonight, I attended my first Holy Thursday mass. It might have been my favorite mass of all time, a wonderful commemoration of Jesus.
My grandma has always told me how she loves watching the priests wash people’s feet at this mass.
Tonight, I got to understand just how beautiful that really is.
What would you do if you knew you were having your last meal? I’d imagine most people would want to throw a huge party and get lots of attention and stuff their faces with decadent food.
But look what Jesus did. For the Last Supper, which we remember today, he gathered his 12 disciples together and washed their feet and told them to eat his flesh and drink his blood. He offered himself to them so that their sins would be forgiven. Wow. How much more humble could a last supper be?

All this vitriol being cast on Rep. Stupak by pro-lifers is out of place - and unfair. Rep. Stupak - and the Catholic Bishops - were supporters of socialized medicine from the beginning. This is utter foolishness - but it is not the same (morally) as supporting abortion. Rep. Stupak was the Democrat who led the fight against abortion in the socialized medicine bill. In the end, the Stupak Amendment was not included in the bill - but Rep. Stupak did get a promise from President Obama for an executive order to the same effect. President Obama kept his promise and signed the executive order on March 24.
