High School Decision! Can't Choose!?
(Untitled)

I live in Carmel Valley. My son goes to middle school and next year he is going to high school. We have 3 choices. but we only like 2. The 2 are Torrey Pines High School and Cathedral Catholic High School. CCHS is a private school and TPHS is public. TPHS has a lot more people. A lot more classes, and choices. It has a great football team, which I play. But CCHS has less people, is more hidden, like a "in the back" school. They both are great schools, but most of my friends are going to TPHS. I can't make my decision. I play football, and plan to play it in college. Both schools have a good football team. I think private school would be better for my education though. But i'm not sure. Which would be better for my education and help me get into a better college. I don't know anyone at my school that is going to CCHS. But that is kinda good because i have a bad reputation in school, because i have a disease in my hair that is akward sometimes. Which would be better for my education and help me get into a better college?

If you have the option of going to private school, go for it! Definitely go to CCHS. If you don't know anyone, chances are that you'll be able to focus more on what you need to do to get into a great college. Also, private schools generally attract the more affluent, well-brought up crowd. Either you'll get teased a lot, or they'll have the decency to keep whatever rude comments they could possibly think of to themselves. Too bad about your hair disease though. Hope it gets better soon!

The other March Madness? Hinsdale Central High wins ISBA Mock Trials

Illinois will be represented at the National High School Mock Trial Championship tourney in Philadelphia by the mock trial team from Hinsdale Central High School. Hinsdale Central finished in first place in the Illinois State Bar Association High School Mock Trial Invitational, conducted March 12-13 at the University of Illinois at Springfield.

Other teams in the final four were Evanston Township HS (2nd place), York HS, Elmhurst (3rd place), and Timothy Christian HS, Elmhurst (4th place).
