Catholic Apologetics?
Adoration in the Port

I am looking for one really great source to guide me in Catholic Apologetics. I see that the need is great and that us Catholics, are called to defend our faith and stand firmly to it. However, I am a beginner with Apologetics and so, I am looking for something that would appropriate for me right now. I don't know a whole lot about what others think about us...although, unfortunately, I am very quickly learning here on yahoo answers....but I would like to learn and even more, I would like to learn how to approach such questions that others may have...or even accusations from others.. thanks :) God Bless!

catholic apologetics?
Justin Cardinal Rigali

Can any sin be forgiven? I 'm not sure if grave sins are forgiven or if they are the same as mortal sins.

With God all things are possible.

All sins can be forgiven except possibly one.

Jesus did say that blasphemy against the Spirit is unforgivable but we do not know why. (Matthew 12:24-31)

With love in Christ.

Where can I find Catholic Apologetics in regard to Non-Denominational Christians?
Mike Welsch

Finding Catholic Apologetics in regard to Protestant Christians is quite easy to find - but I haven't yet found any in regard to Non-Denominational - even though they seems similar some non-denom believe they are neither catholic or protestant (personally I feel they are more protestant as many often hold the similar believes, sola scriptura, etc)

Any Catholic apologetics in regard to Non-Denom Christians would be greatly appriciated. I don't mind protestant opinions, but I feel that many non-denoms step back and only argue against Catholisim yet tend not to have their own beliefs that are able to be argued for or against

The Catholic Church teaches:

Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements.

Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church.

All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him.

With love in Christ.

Please suggest a good Catholic apologetics book?

I enjoy reading Scott Hahn, Kevin Orlin Johnson, and Patrick Madrid, but would love to know of more apologetics writers.
I've read Karl Keating, but he's not one of my favorites.

does any one know what educational background John Martignoni has. He teaches Catholic apologetics.?
Macus Grodi

I'd like to know where he studied.

http://www.biblechristiansociety.com/abo ut_us.php is his website.

I contacted him and his response follows:

"You can tell them that I have a B.S. in Corporate Finance and an M.B.A. from the University of Alabama, and one year of Ph.D. work in Finance at the Univ. of North Carolina. Regarding my theological background, I have had one course in Theology from a "Catholic" college, but the course was so bad (as in opposed to Church teaching), that I refer to it as an anti-Theology course. I learned by listening to talks from Dr. Scott Hahn, Tim Staples, and others; by reading books - Frank Sheed, Karl Keating, and so on; and, of course, by studying the Bible and reading the Catechism.

God bless!

John Martignoni"
