If a stillborn baby cannot be baptized, what kinds of prayers/blessings may a Catholic priest offer if asked to come to the hospital where the mother waits with the baby?


A stillborn can be baptized... and can have a funeral in the Catholic Church. Contact your priest as many cemeteries offer a free area for infant burial and many funeral homes offer infant size caskets free of charge as well.

What the guy who posted first said. But......grace is a gift of god given to everyone, because we have free will we can accept god's grace into our lives(being christian, in this case catholic). or declining it.

I have not confessed my sins and I want to get blessed ... what is the proper procedure when I go to the priest ... do I cross my arms and ask for a blessing?


You don't need to say anything. Just stand in line with everyone else and when it is your turn cross your arms. If he tries to give you communion (very unlikely) just shake your head and he will get the picture.

If you decide want to stay in the pew, that is fine. The priest blesses everyone at the end of Mass anyway.
