The other night bishop sheen read part of a book on the catholic channel and i did not catch the name. The book was about an old devil in hell who gives his nephew on earth advice on how to win souls for the devil, but the plan backfires and god wins the souls, does this plot sound familiar to anyone and can u tell me the name of the book?

haha i don't really watch the Catholic Channel. my brother and i watch davy and goliath sometimes because we like the dog in it and think he has a funny voice. we were wondering why it's on the Catholic channel if it's a Lutheran show? lol i know it's a random question. thanks 4 ur answers :)
ummmm...it's a Christian fable and Catholics and Lutherans are both Christians.
In preventing aids? Condoms make the problem worse, as the Pope pointed out and he got blasted for it. Condoms don't work. Abstinence is the only way. Why don't liberals and atheists realize this?
Jack you are fooling yourself if you believe that hogwash you're spouting. People are ALWAYS going to have sex, it's HUMAN NATURE. Since it's human nature why is it not appropriate to try and stop the spread of disease? I'm a healthcare worker and I find the words of my current pope totally illogical and completely out of touch with reality (maybe if he was married and had children he would understand, but that's another matter). The fact is condoms DO work. The rate of infections would be far HIGHER without them.
The problem isn't "liberals", it's magical thinking on the part of people like you if you think you can control natural human behavior.

My parents and I dont get along, but I need a palce to live in the summer (college student) so I stay at home. They recently found out Im catholic, they didnt like that.
I sleep in the livingroom by the tv and am a VERY light sleeper. I am the last person to watch tv most of the time. The past two mornings when i turn the tv on in the morning it was on the catholic channel. Two nights ago it could have been my dad because he watched tv last, but last night I watched tv last and I turned it off on a different channel.
This morning there it is on EWTN again! it only does this in the morning. Is my tv programed or whats going?

The Catholic Church in Pakistan has experienced a "miracle of survival and growth", with a surge of vocations and ever larger numbers joining the faith in spite of increasing threats from Islamic extremists.
Seminary numbers are at a 15-year high, a new Catholic television channel has been launched and Catholic numbers continue to rise, according to a fact-finding mission by the Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN).
The visit by representatives of the charity, who conducted in-depth interviews with bishops, priests, Sisters and lay people, as well as visits to key Church communities all over the country, underlined the rise of extremism described in the report as a "Talibanisation" of society. Archbishop Lawrence Saldanha of Lahore, president of the Pakistani Catholic Bishops' Conference, spoke of a new extremist "push" through to southern Punjab close to the country's Christian heartland around Lahore.

Not one to shirk our civic duty, we at Lino Watch feel it necessary to fill out the form as well. Our one problem is that the survey is not as flexible as we need it to be to truly capture the kind of information we wish to provide. So listed below are

The online form only lets us choose one option… our answer is a mixture of the above and then some. To pay our bills, it's necessary for us to moonlight with a second job during the day three days a week. Our employer bans all streaming audio from their computer network, and we don't sit close enough to a window to get a signal from the sky, so our computer back at Lino Watch HQ is rigged to record the show from the Internet while we're moonlighting. We catch the last hour of the show live in our windowless van as we drive back to Lino Watch HQ from our second job, and then we listen to the recording of the first two hours at the next available opportunity (usually while we're moonlighting the next day). On other days we listen to the beginning of the show live, then record the rest and listen to it later if karaoke time gets in the way. It's an interesting experience.
