Do you give a gift at a Catholic Confirmation?

I'm not Catholic, but a friend is and her daughter is having her confirmation next week. Should I take a gift to celebrate the occasion?

Nothing too big or fancy, though. A rosary would be appropiate, but she's probably going to get a lot of them. I got money for my confirmation ... sweet! And a St. Francis statue (Saint I chose).

Catholic confirmation gift ideas?

I have been invited to my 15 year old boyfriend's confirmation. I am the same age and I am wondering about gift ideas. I don't know if I am even supposed to get him a gift, and if so I don't know where to begin. Some suggested money, and if so, how much? Please help.

A religious event should be honored with a religious gift. Money will be gone next week. I am 41 years old and still use the bible my sponsor gave me when I was confirmed!

Go to a Catholic book store. You will fond a nice selection of Catholic prayer books and rosaries. Those are nice choices because they show your desire for his growth in his relationship with the Lord, and they are reasonably priced.

What are good gift ideas for my Catholic Confirmation?

My grandparents want to know what I want for my Confirmation.I know that I don't want a Bible, Rosary, Book or Crucifix/Cross (I have a ton of these items already). I was thinking maybe a saint medal or a necklace of some sort. They don't like to give money or gift cards. Does anyone have any other realistic ideas?


Who is your chosen saint? Perhaps a medal and a book about that saint would be nice.

A pretty cross or crucifix necklace would help you tell the world about what you've just done.

A scrapbook to put Confirmation Day keepsakes into would be nice.
