Catholic Exorcism?
exorcismo

In The Discovery Channel Show "A Haunting" They always say that an exorcism is the greatest thing a catholic priest can do on his own authority. What are the other things he can do, and on whose authority? Details if you can please.

I suggest you do not use The Discovery Channel to learn about Catholic doctrine.

A priest actually does very little. But God works miracles through him.

Priests can
+ Baptize
+ Consecrate the Eucharist
+ Confirm (with special permission)
+ Assist at Marriage
+ Hear confessions
+ Anoint the sick

+ Exorcism +

Catholics have been casting out demons ever since Jesus and the Apostles did it.

Modern psychology says that most of the people who had demons cast out of them were probably miraculously cured from schizophrenia and other mental illnesses. But their cures were still miracles.

The Catholic Church believes that real demonic possessions are rare but possible, so they keep a few exorcists around just in case.

+ With love in Christ.

If you are interested in finding out about true exorcism, I suggest you read the book by Gabriel Amorth, he is the Vatican Exorcist. His book, "An Exorcist Tells His Story" is excellent. http://www.amazon.com/Exorcist-Tells-His -Story/dp/0898707102
Very basic information about exorcism, some trure stories, and the need for it still today. It does not sensationalize, but approches the issue with a more "nuts and bolts" informational sense.

Is exorcism a compliment to the Roman Catholic faith?
Father Karras falls better than I

I believe very strongly in the supernatural. I know that there is an unseen spirit world. As St. Paul said, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world,(Ephesians 6:12)". I have noticed that whenever someone faces a dark spirit/demon; they always turn to the Catholic Church. I saw a program where a former Catholic priest, now Episcopalian performed an exorcism. Is this a backhanded compliment?

I don't know that it's a compliment... simply a reality of life that only those possessing valid ordinational powers and chosen by their valid bishops may complete an exorcism with hope of success and/or survival.

is there Anyone out there who can get me the ENTIRE rites of exorcism from the catholic ritual book?
The "Exorcist" Steps

if so past the ENTIRE excorcism and everything that goes with it as your answer. but no links, just copy and paste it to your answer.

Catholic priests are the only ones allowed to perform the exorcism prayers in the ritual.

Why don't you google it if you really want it, or buy the book of exorcism rituals?

The main exorcist in Rome says the best help for the individual is personal prayer and reception of the sacraments. Sacraments are where grace is received, and the devil flees. Another article by the same exorcist suggests when we pray the rosary in the proper disposition, it is like hitting the devil with a hammer:

The Prayers of the Rosary:

The Sign of the Cross: In the name of the Father of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

The Apostles' Creed: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He decended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgivness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen

The Our Father: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name: Thy kingdom come: Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation: but deliver us from evil. Amen.

The Hail Mary: Hail Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Glory Be to the Father: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

The Fatima Prayer: "O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Your Mercy".

(Our Lady at Fatima, 13th July 1917)

The Hail, Holy Queen: Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley, of tears. Turn, then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus; O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

additional prayers
"O God whose only begotten Son has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, Grant that we beseech Thee while meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may both imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord Amen."

"My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love You. I beg pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love You."
(The Angel to three children of Fatima, spring 1916)

For the intentions of the Holy Father, one may recite at the end of the Rosary one "Our Father", one "Hail Mary", and one "Glory Be".

When was the last time the Roman Catholic Church officially sanctioned an Exorcism?
Haunted House

When was the last time this happened?

Each Catholic diocese is expected to have at least one designated exorcist. Exorcisms are generally low-profile. The theatrics one sees on television are not typical of most exorcisms. During the Sacrament of Baptism, the priest actually says prayers of exorcism. So, in this sense, exorcisms happen daily in the Roman Catholic Church.

The prayers for the specific ritual of exorcism are yet found in the Rituale Romanum, a standard book of rituals for Catholic priests. In order for a priest to perform the rites of exorcism, he must first obtain the permission of the bishop.

Fr. Gabriele Amorth, a Catholic priest, has completed hundreds of exorcisms in his lifetime, and I believe he is still living.

JN, p.1A NYS fiscal crisis results in teacher and staff layoffs, pay freeze. And a lot of it is because of "unfunded federal mandates", all a result of the feminist nonsense that boys and girls are equal. Such will have to be severely curtailed and girls and women MUST cease trying to be boys and men. Nearly 25 years ago I very vociferously spoke out about that - and no one listened. But at least I told them so. NYT, p.A6 That priest who sexually molested boys ? He was well-loved, genial, kindly, helpful... (as is the case with all child molestors and homosexuals...). But he was a monster (as are ALL). His Archbishop (Weakland, a name reflective of his problems ; he too was a gay man). Exorcism in the Modern Catholic Church « Universal Heretic

Don’t let  all the claims of today’s “higher theology”, or allusion to the subtle mystery of the trinity fool you. Today’s Catholic Church is just as superstitious. Father Amorth is not some lone crazy wandering the country side, he is fully employed by and endorsed by the church. This isn’t a euphemism for the grandeur of life, this if full scale belief in demons and magic rites.

“THE minor rite can be done by any priest and provides prayers of protection and assistance for people who fear they are being tempted by the devil. Prayers of minor exorcism are built in to the rite of baptism.

The major rite applies to cases of full demonic possession. The priest wears a purple stole, representing his role as a leader of the church. He carries holy water which he sprinkles over the victim during prayers. The crucifix is held aloft, representing the most potent symbol of Christ’s victory over evil. Prayers are either dedicative or indicative. During dedicative prayer, the exorcist asks God to drive out an evil spirit.
