i just cant do it cuz i know its a sin. But I know almost* all catholics do it even though it is uncool with the church and god. So how do you override yours.
In my belief, I believe it is not sin as long as you are not having lustful thoughts, so basically don't imagine anyone naked or something like that. If you can't then I don't know what to tell you.
I did but thank god it is now gone...those that are 40 or over should know what I am on about, & maybe those younger but things were different in schools back then when it was mainly nuns teaching..

The teacher who looked after my class in secondary school, an all-girl convent school, took Catholic guilt to a whole new level - she singled out the girls who had difficult relationships with their parents and systematically molested us, feeling our bottoms, squeezing our buttocks, even trying to put her hands between our thighs. She was a nun.
I am serious.
The only guilt I have in relation to that biitch and other paedaeophiles like her who could hide behind religious orders has to do with my relationship with family members who I tried to tell but couldn't find the words for it, which resulted in years of angry guilt or guilty anger and a hefty dose of frustration - but I'm through it now.
And I am pretty sure that that biitch is burning in hell where she belongs.
Surely 99.9% of all Catholic preists are good and honest people. Assuming guilt as to one being a witch was wrong, so how is the assumption of guilt as to Catholic preists any different then that?

Darwin, how could you possibly know that. Don't forget, today this is a get rich quick crime for the alleged victim. And I am sure that you "know" Michael Jackson was guilty, right? It had nothing to do with money that drove the "victim."
E soak, why is most of you MISS the point? IT IS NOT ABOUT THE punishment, it is about assuming guilt.
And for those of you that say these are real crimes always, how can you possibly know that? You don't. It is mostly about money, "poor victim" gets a couple of million.
Shugga, again it not about the punishment, the question is about assuming guilt. How many priests have been falsely accused? How many more will be? In the name of money?
It isn't any different at all. I am no longer Catholic but it has nothing to do with the actions of a few priests. I was raised in Catholic school and was never once harmed in any way by the priests or nuns. There are really very few cases of molestation in the Catholic church but for every 1 real accusation, there are 100 bandwagon jumpers just lying for dramatic effect. The profession with the highest rate of child molestation is PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHER but I guess its just not as much fun to hate them as it is to hate priests.
Its not any particular thing I have done...just a genreal feeling when i enjoy myself, this feeling that I shouldnt be!!!

Today marks the beginning of the most solemn and depressing week imaginable when you are the proud card carrying member of the Catholic Church; Palm Sunday. Nothing puts an exclamation point on "catholic guilt" more than the season of Lent will. Doesn't matter what the weatherman says--Holy Week is always a cloudy, miserable week...even Mother Nature thinks we should suffer.
Come Good Friday, even if the sun is shining all morning, at approximately 11:59 a.m. the clouds roll in with thunder and lightning sure to follow. And, like clockwork, at 3:01 p.m. the clouds always part with the sun peaking out as if to say, hey, it's going to be okay. We always saw this as kids from inside--no one was allowed outside from noon until three...went against the rules. We'd steal glimpses out of the window while we were kneeling in silent prayer.

The church no longer enforces this rule, but it’s the way I was raised, and it’s one of the small things I do to alleviate what Catholic guilt remains after all these years. I guess it is strange. The same guy that shows his butt on this very blog, who swears with fucking abandon and enjoys the word ‘cunt’ more than anyone rightly should, is the one who won’t eat meat during the high Catholic holidays. I think it goes back to the one Good Friday that I broke the rule.
As a kid, we usually had holy week off from school. On those days, there was no strict regime during the day, as Mom and Dad were off at work and my brother and I were free to roam all over the house and, within reason, the small city of Amsterdam. The weather was good enough that we were already riding our bikes at that time, so I rode to McDonald’s for lunch without thinking anything of it. I ordered a Big Mac and fries and sat down, devouring the sandwich in a few quick bites, and then realizing what I had done.
