I am trying to write a story, but the main characters mother is Catholic. But i don't know enough about this religion and it's lifestyle to properly write about it. Could anyone who is Catholic please tell me (preferably in detail) what it is to 'be' Catholic. What happens at Church, prays you might say, stories you were told. Anything at all please, i don't want to be writing about a religion and not do it justice.
Ok, so as a Catholic you must go to Church every Sunday. They generally give Mary more credit and hold her in higher esteem than most other Christians, and much to the dismay of many other Christians.
I lived as a Catholic for nearly 14 years so if you have any questions just ask. I'm just not sure what you want on here.

I have a speech due on Monday for year 10 Religion and my teacher will pretty much skin me alive if I don't answer the question correctly whilst I read my speech to the class. I've looked around on google and other search engines and merely found bits and pieces of his biography. Is anyone learned in this area of expertise? :]
Nope but most probably a pedo like the rest of them
I have an essay i'm writing for my world history class and I really need help with it, it is based off of the Early Roman Catholic Church
-political life
-social life
-intellectual life ( i.e, education etc.)
you can get a lot of your answers by reading the book of Acts in the Bible. I would also suggest the Didache which is a contemporary writing to the Gospels. The writings of the ante Nicene fathers is another good source. God bless!

What type of events would be considered milestones in the life of a Roman Catholic?
I have First Communion, Baptism, Confirmation, and that is all.
Does anyone know what else I could add?
Also marriage or entering the priesthood/convent/monastery, and last rights (administered right before death). There are 7 sacraments, and most of those are milestones in life, except for confession.
the catholic perspective and the secular materialist perspective please :)
Secular(materialistic):
1)get big house, preferebly mansion
2)get big fancy car
3)get a lot of shiny and expensive clothes
4)become famous/celebrity/authority
oooops, sorry, Catholic Pope does all of it....
