I'm interested in working with a Catholic mission group for a year and I'm wondering which group to apply to. I know some organizations are more developed than others. Has anyone had a really good experience with a certain mission team? Would anyone recommend a certain order to work with? Just looking for suggestions and advice. Thanks!

I am a UK citizen with very little french but a great willingness to learn. I would like to volunteer for quite a while maybe 4 months. I would also like to be near the coast, around Bordeaux or on the south west coast. I have volunteered before in catholic missions in palestine and enjoyed it very much. I have some skills in gardening and woodland work.
Contact you diocesan office for missions about ways to volunteer overseas including in France.

I'm a young catholic medical student from Hungary. I'd like to take part in a catholic mission trip as a doctor, particularly to a region of West-Africa (Nigeria, Cameroon). Does anyone know of any international catholic mission groups? Please only serious answers. Thanks.
I agree with the first answerer, your diocese is the best place to ask questions.
Have you tried either Mercy Ships or Doctors without Borders as well? They are two good organizations, but are not directly affiliated with the Catholic church.

Looking for a preferably Catholic (but not necessary - just Christian based) mission trip for this summer 2008. I am interested in going somewhere south like to Jamacia, Bahamas...?I have gone on 2 mission trips before and I am 20 yrs. old and would like to go with others about the same age. Thank you :)
