I'm really confused about what catholic names are.
My grandmother was very Catholic and after my baptism (I think) I was given the name Natalia. Is this a confirmation name? Or is the confirmation name something different than what this is?
PS My legal name is not Natalia, btw. I have never used Natalia for any purpose at all.
In Baptism, the Lord's name sanctifies the Christian, and the Christian receives his name in the Church.
This can be (but does not have to be) the name of a saint, that is, of a disciple who has lived a life of exemplary fidelity to the Lord.
Parents, sponsors, and the pastor are to take care that a name foreign to Christian sensibility is not given.
Natalia means "Christ's Birthday" or "Christmas Day" from Latin "natale domini."
This can be used as a confirmation name. and a few saints have been named Natalia:

I need names most people would consider to be catholic. Roman Catholic. I need a lot, too. The more, the better! Thanks.
Also, what constitutes Catholic-sounding is entirely up to your opinion.
Oh, this double posted. I don't even know how that happened. Sorry!
Mary is one of the best Catholic names.

My mom is pregnant and she might be having a boy and she really wants to name him Noah. For some reason I don't like that name very much, does anyone know a good catholic name? There are 3 kids Danielle, Gabrielle and Nicholas. Maybe a name that goes with Nicholas.
Michael. For Michael the arc angel =)
I often hear of Catholic nuns named things like "Sister Mary..."
Is it always Mary first, then something else? Or can it be any two biblical names? Or one biblical name?
it depends on the order
many nuns and sisters take the name "mary"
i know a sister mary joseph and a sister mary samuel
but there are many other names
i also know a sister john dominic, a sister sarah, and a sister anunnciata (prob didnt spell that right)
but it just depends on what order they are in (dominican, franciscan, etc)
Central Catholic names first female principal - EagleTribune.com ...
LAWRENCE — Fourteen years ago, Central Catholic High School opened its doors to female students and became a co-ed institution.
In July, Doreen Keller will open another chapter in the school's 75-year history when she becomes Central Catholic's first female principal.
"This is exciting in itself," said Keller, 56. "In the 21st century, being co-ed and the fact that I am a female principal, means I can be a role model not only to the male students but to our female students as well."
Keller was chosen unanimously by the search committee from a pool of 30 educators who applied from across 11 states, China and the United Arab Emirates.
"I feel truly blessed to have been afforded this opportunity," she said. "This is a dream come true. I am living my faith by the work I do here. The sense of community and family that we have here makes it such a unique place."
...Question for Catholics - Netmums Coffeehouse
Hi all, I am 6 months pregnant and plan on naming my daughter Indiana Carolyn. I want her to be christened in September but my mum has just said she doesnt think I can get her christened Indiana as it isnt a 'christian' name. Anyone know if this is correct. A mum at the church called her child 'moonbeam' and they wouldnt christen her that as it was pagan but Indiana although rare is still a proper name. I don't think it has to be a Christian name. My priest just asked the name when we were filling the forms in and didn't mention any rules about names but then my dd is called Sophie which is a fairly traditional name (but not biblical). He also christened a Ruby a few weeks before our dd and I don't think that is any more religious than Indiana. You could just ask your priest- I often find they...
