The poor undocumented guy who gets sent back is seen as a burden on the government," said Erica Dahl-Bredine, country manager for Catholic Relief Services' Mexico program in Tucson, Ariz.
"Those who have documents are seen as the heroes."
Is true when we say the same thing we are labeled racists ?

All evidence would suggest that many from other countries, notably those just South, come here however they do with huge RACIST orientations. It's probubly the reason their society has failed so.
When they arrive, sadly because we allow it, the first thing they start up with is ACTING racist themselves. Since we give them the freedom to continue the next thing they do is set up systems designed to accomodate their illegal needs and those of their brethern and they do this with RACIST orientation.
When/if they are called on their illegal, selfish and disrespectful conduct, about the only thing they can scream is that those who challenge them are RACISTS or bigots.
They know of this only too well, as that is how they live their own lives. They live that way in their old world camps and so it is a well known experience both being given and received by THAT crowd.
This is what this group, along with many more obnoxious and criminal behaviours will come with this group if we allow them to stay or continue to come.
It's us or them folks. Time to show the illegals the door and shut that door firmly behind them ...and lock it down tight. America does not need this even if we get a little basic slave labor for it in the process. It' not worth it.
Watch what happens when little miracles touch the lives of the most vulnerable people around the world. Witness the lifesaving help and hope ...
the tax payers were forced to provide 42 percent of the funds to CRS last year. A whopping 257 million. Catholics donated 137 million, up from 113 million in 2007. good job. So would CRS even survive if we actually had a choice in donating to the organization?
The Catholic Church is very generous to all people even those who don't follow the Catholic faith, because Catholics honor the dignity of all life.
can you please expound on your question.....
In earthquake disaster of 2005, CRS play a major role in spreading corruprion in Pakistan economy.
Why would they spread such nonsense!
Corruption existed already, not only in Pakistan but throughout the whole world - long before you where born.
Be a good boy - go out and spread some good cheer amongst
your people.Your country is beautiful, try to keep that way
with more good will.
What is a good charity? What charity gives the most to the actual cause? (not to administrative costs or propaganda??) Is there a charity where the leader does not accecpt a salary? (maybe he is a rich billionaire or retired?) Please help me choose a good charity. I like all kinds of causes. Do you know anything about the Bill Gates Foundation? Red cross? Humanitarian Aide?
I was suprised to see that the top salary in the Catholic Relief services is more than $200,000! Is that information correct? Do all charities have similiar salaries in their budget?

Is the best way for me to cut costs to just go join a homeless person for a meal? (I heard that someone should always purchase a food item, never give cash, so that the cash is not mis appropriated towards drugs or alcohol,m a common problem. I'm pretty naive, so, someone had to tell me this.)
oh! I found this helpful website! There are probably more websites similar to this: how does your charity rate?
http://www.charitynavigator.org/
It will tell you all this information. I did not know this! I just learned it while researching this question/answer just now!
Thank you everyone so much for the wonderful ideas!
Poster below, I know what you mean about Birth Control. I'm Catholic, so, I can't agree with you too much there... (I'm treading on thin ice.) but I did hear that Pres. Bush actually cut funding for Birth Control to foreign countries based on HIS religious belief (which does not necessarily represent the entire US's belief.)., Besides, over crowding is a serious problem in starving countries. I've lived in rural areas. It can be rather dull to SOME people. Not much to do but make babies. Personally, I enjoy activities to take my mind away from lustful thoughts. I don't have all the answers for everybody though.
Natural Family Planning does work! though!

Breastfeeding helps NFP too! It's great! healthy for baby! great for the Mother too! It reduces the chances of breast cancer! sorta off topic, but interesting.

Thanks for all the valuable information, everyone!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know how to pick a best answer! All answers are very very very good! I like the volunteer work idea too! esp. if you have spare time, and less fincances! That is one way to make sure the charity is run effeciently! by being a very active member of that charity, right?
Actually, yes that is very typical. Charities need to be run well, and they pay their top people to do just that. No one volunteers to be a CEO of a large organization. Catholic Charities is huge and requires many top people to do good jobs in order to make sure that those who need services get them.
Catholic Charities is the number one charity in the world. They bring more money, food, services and resources to the needy than any other charity. In order to do that they need good business people running things.
It doesn't bother me at all that charities pay decent salaries to those who deserve them, and earn them. As long as the ultimate goal of helping others is reached and the salaries and perks of executives isn't exorbitant.
Actually, I don't think 200,000 is all that much considering what they do and the amount of money they deal with. The CEO of my local county government makes $110,000 a year and he doesn't handle near the amount of money, and he certainly doesn't run a global organization.

...Catholic Relief Services: New Hope for Ethiopia |
A group of eight seminarians from Mundelein Seminary , two priests from the east coast, Fr. Joe and Fr. Manny, and myself journeyed to Ethiopia last month to witness the Gospel in action, C.R.S. style, in Ethiopia. This “mission trip” is part of the seminary pre-theology field education program, the focus of which is service of the poor. Our mission was simple: to witness by means of our presence to the care of the Church for the poor while witnessing the work of C.R.S. and their partners in Ethiopia. The scarcity of water is particularly troubling in a country that depends so heavily on agriculture. Rains have become less dependable, droughts longer and deeper in the past few decades in Ethiopia. I had read somewhere that the average Ethiopian daily uses the...
