Whats the story? What is the main things to know in the catholic religion? All i know is on the 25th of December *Christmas* Is when Jesus died and that on easter day he came back to life. and that jesus' secrect lover is Mary Magdalene and that jesus had 3 people that always stayed with him , mary, his mother and her sister, and all of them had the name of mary.
Is this correcT? what else is therre?

She was next to Jesus in the portrait of the twelve aposoltes dinner.

I am Baptist, but my daughter and I are looking at possible high schools for her. I am not sure if I should send her to a Catholic High School, because the way they teach things are different from those of a Baptist.

I do not know a lot about the Catholic religion. Would there be a big difference if she went to a Catholic High School. They have mass and what is reconciliation and all the confessions? I know that in Mass, Catholics take communion.

As a non-Catholic attending a Catholic school, your daughter would not have to attend or participate in mass, confession, or Catholic communion. She would have to learn about Catholicism in religion class, as all Catholic schools have those, but people of many different faiths consider it well worth it to send their children there because of the higher education standards that come with it. Catholic schools are generally quite respectful of differing beliefs.

My Catholic high school had quite a large number of non-Catholics attending, and a few non-Catholic teachers as well. They all loved it.

I need to compare and contrast the catholic and islamic religion. Can somebody help me please?

Similarities:

Both are monotheistic, that is they worship one God. However, the true God of Christianity is a Trinity (three persons in one).

Both Islam and Catholicism have similar traditions like prayer, fasting and works of charity. They also share many similar moral teachings on marriage, sexuality and ethics.

Differences:

The origins of the Catholic Church are divine - Jesus Christ (the Son of God) instituted the Church to carry on His mission after He ascended to Heaven. The Islamic faith was a mixture of paganism, Christianity and Judaism which was started by a man named Mohammad.

The Catholic Church has one center and source of authority - Jesus Christ - who speaks through the Church. Islam is splintered into different sects which teach sometimes contradictory things.
