My relatives are taking me to my first Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. I was raised as a Methodist so this is my first Catholic Mass. How dressy are they? Would khakis and a sweater be acceptable or do I need a shirt and tie?
I wear a suit, my church tends to be business attire, skirts at minimum below the knee, pants, yes men typically wear ties.

Now I have noted amongst my Catholic friends that this is a good litmus test, as there are only two reactions and they correspond exactly to their style of thinking: either they think the t-shirt is corny, unnecessary, and even childish, or they think that this form of t-shirt is the greatest tool for evangelization that has ever existed, and a victory for Christ unequaled in the modern age.
