Yes, there is a Catholic Channel on Direct TV it's lumped in with all the other religion channels.: 363-378 roughly
It's called Modesty.
If you had actually approached a Nun and asked they would tell you.
Believe me they aren't unhappy or robotic. They are very intelligent conversationalists who do have interests other than their genuine love for their God and their Faith.

Don't you know already???
How much can you possibly "know" about a figment of the imagination???

It looks great to me! I had no idea it even existed until. Thanks for drawing attention to it!
For anyone, skeptics and cynics especially, who are too lazy or presumptive to actually check it out, at least read realcatholictv's missions statement below:
To promote a Catholic culture using video over the internet
The mission of RealCatholicTV.com is to promote the faith given to humanity by Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God and the Messiah. This faith is the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church lead by the heir of Saint Peter, Pope Benedict XVI.
RealCatholicTV.com aims to provide everyone with means to increase their personal holiness through catechesis and evangelization about the truth of the Christian faith. We aim to convert non-Catholics to the faith founded personally by Jesus Christ, and strengthen the faith of existing Catholics.
RealCatholicTV.com aims to achieve this through the use of high-quality videos produced to the highest standard and delivered by cutting edge internet technology.
Do you think God wanted this to happen? Going by what's in the Bible, do you think God wanted Christians to sing praises to Maria and call her our mother?
On this Catholic channel I have, whenever I turn it there people are saying "hail Mary...ect" "Mary mother of God" "Holy Mary" and alot of the time the only time Jesus is mentioned is in the context of being the Son of Mary.
I've never seen anywhere in the Bible, that Christians should sing praises to Mary, or even pray to her to be good christians.
Do you think that anyone, apart from Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, should be praised in such a way. Since praising is a type of worship, could Mary be considered a false idol??
Alot of people say that they do not worship Mary, but that's hard for me to believe, but this is just my oppinion.
Shouldn't there be a certain standard we hold ourselves to as christians? Couldn't people be confused to see us singing these things, when our main focus should be Christ?
I dont agree at all Justin, if Mary didn't cooperate He would have simply gone to another woman. My thing is according to the Bible, not traditions or ceremonies, if we were to go strictly by biblical teaching, would we do things like this?
Midge can you give me the verse that says your should say it 5 times?
Genghis, I mean according to the Bible.
everydaycatholic, but Mary is dead, what use is there ask her to pray for us if she is dead?
Passage Mark 3:31-38:
31Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him. 32A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, "Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you."
33"Who are my mother and my brothers?" he asked.
34Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! 35Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother."
I think it is a subtle ploy created by Satan, to take the focus away from God Almighty and Jesus Christ and to TRY and elevate Mary to their perfect, immortal Deity.
Mary was a human, not immortal.
Mary was flawed, not perfect.
Mary was a virgin, but she did not remain so. She and Joseph had 5 other children. (3 sons, several daughters).
Mary never prophesied.
She never performed miracles.
When anyone approached Mary to intercede for them or to
help them or to countermand Jesus, she pointed them to Jesus, she adhered to Jesus' teaching or held with Jesus' words.
Mary aged, faded, & died.
Personally, I think Mary would be horrified, embarassed, and ashamed to know that people prayed to her; worshiped her, and/or sought to elevate her to that of God or Jesus' image.

The VATICAN
April 01, 2010 —
The joy that comes from Christ gives us happiness, but it also gives us the ability to suffer and to continue being intimately happy even when we suffer. This is what Benedict XVI said on Thursday, April 1st, during the homily of the Chrism Mass, which he presided over in St. Peters Basilica with 1,600 priests of the Diocese of Rome and from the Roman universities, who afterwards renewed their priestly promises together with the attending cardinals and bishops. The Pontiff then blessed the oils of the Catechumens and of the Sick and the Holy Chrism, which will be used in the sacraments throughout the year.
