I applied for early action and got into Catholic University of America and now I want to do the honors program. Since my acceptance letter didn't say anything about the honors program am I not in? Or do I have to apply separately? Basically, how can I get into the honors program?
You should apply for it. Had you been part of the program the acceptance letter would have mentioned it./
I am currently a freshman at another college who's completed one semester and in the middle of another. My first semester I got a 4.0 but have minimal involvement in clubs. I joined one but it never meets. What are my chances? Also, I know it's an expensive school, what are my chances of being offered a scholarship/ financial aid from the school?
iI looks good especially if you keep up your high academic standards.
The Catholic University of America transfer policy is below.
I don't want the title of the Catholic school to fool me. Is it more liberal or conservative? Is it gay-friendly?
No, Catholic University is a very homophobic place to be.
But Georgetown, across the city, is very gay-friendly.
Attend Georgetown, and you may end up meeting Enno, hahaha!

I'm looking to obtain a business degree.. but I'm also interested in which school has a better overall reputation and social life because being happy at the school is very important to me.
Catholic University of America will greet you with open arms. The atmosphere is great, the people are nice (and I'm not even sugar coating this), and the professors will know you individually. And because it's located in DC, you have so many open opportunities!
which one would you choose over the other? which one is more prestigous? Overall knowledge?
They are similar in a lot of ways, especially enrollment size. Each is a little over 3,000.

As you can see, Loyola is a little harder to get into, but I would say Catholic is more well-known. I have visited the Loyola campus and it is really nice. If I had to choose, I would go to Loyola, but do as much research as you can to find out how each fits your needs.

Why Steve Schneck, of Catholic University of America, Supports the ...
Steve Schneck, a policy analyst at Catholic University of America, has posted a thoughtful narrative of his involvement with the House and Senate health insurance reform bills in the comments section of a post I placed over at Mirror of Justice. Because it seems apt to be of interest to our RLL readers as well, I add it here as a post in its own right.
I thought it might be useful to recount how I came to support this bill. And, let me say in advance, that despite some of my friends including my name among “Catholic leaders,” my role has been very limited.
I am, though, strongly pro-life. I’m a regular at Washington’s January marches for life. I continue to advocate for overturning Roe. Moreover, I’ve been a supporter for just about every policy proposal to limit access to abortion. Despite my support for other aspects of the Obama administration, very early on I spoke publicly against its Mexico City reversal and against its handling of stem cell policies. At the same time, for me, being pro-life extends far beyond abortion to incorporate the whole of Catholic moral and social teachings.

Cards Fly Past W&L
3/23/2010
WASHINGTON- The Catholic University of America men’s lacrosse team added another win to their record Tuesday afternoon, defeating Washington & Jefferson 13-4 at Cardinal Stadium. CUA improves their record to 6-1 on the year, while W&J drops to 3-4.
Mike Scotto got things started for the Cardinals, scoring an unassisted goal just eleven seconds into the game. Teammate Chris Fuccillo then took advantage of a man-up situation by knotting a goal of his own at the six minute mark to put the Cards ahead by two. The Presidents finished up the first period by scoring two consecutive goals, but CUA’s Mike Groh gave Catholic the advantage by converting a pass from Sean Fitzpatrick.
