Somethings about depression...?
Fourvière

I'm 14, and I think I'm depressed.

I feel like shit, I feel worthless, and extremely apathetic. I feel like I won't accomplish anything at all with my life.

I usually hang out a lone during school. I go to a catholic all boys school, and my best friend went to another one, which i couldn't get into. Other then him, I rarely feel like I have a reason to live. I'm not suicidal or anything( I did cut myself once) but I feel like its pointless to do nothing but mope all day.

I'm obsessed, if thats the right word, with Demi Lovato. I'm not like a fan or anything. I think that she's really attractive. Unless I have something else to do, I usually think about her most of the time. It makes me feel desperate considering I have a pic of her as a wallpaper for my iPod touch and a few on my mac and ipod, even though people say that guys at my age do this kinda stuff. Then I start feeling worthless, miserable, and more depressed because she's famous. I'm not. Then I realize that I won't be able to compare to anything that she excepts, and that she probably won't even know about my existence. And guess what? That hurts a whole fucking lot.

Going back to the catholic all boys school thing, I'm a freshmen, and I have the whole sophomore class + a few freshmen against me. They hate me because I'm the first person to not be afraid of them. I can stand up to them. But in the halls they shout hurtful things at me, threats, etc. They throw things at me and try to get into fights with me. I got suspended for punching one of the freshmen with them at the end of one of our classes. I get threatened on the bus, and nobody cares since its New York's public transportation. This week I didn't go to school for something for one of my little sister's school. Then my mom told me that I was asked to stay home the next day. Why? I have three principles. The actual guy in charge, the assistant principle of discipline, and the assistant principle of academics. The discipline principle is dealing with it, and he only made it worst by not doing anything about it, besides recommend me joining clubs that haven't even started yet. I couldn't go in because my mom called the Archdiocese and reported him. And for those who don't know, the Archdiocese is like a division of the Board or Ed. for Catholic schools.

I also wonder whether I'll be able to do what I WANT in life, and finding out who I am. I want to be a vet since i love animals, but you need to be good at math and science, which I suck at badly. I don't see myself becoming any good anytime soon. The theres a famous guitarist. I've never played, but Avenged Sevenfold has inspired me to do something music-related. And I feel that being a guitarist is a good thing for me to be. As for finding out who I am, I don't know yet. I feel like I have to act like the "normal" people. I did a few times, but I stopped because I found out that it didn't feel right.

I'm a Christian, I go to Church sometimes, and I pray, but it doesn't help me and how I'm feeling.

Thats all for now, I guess. If you red this all, thanks for caring. If you didn't, thank you anyway. If you could help then that would be great. Good Night everyone.
The guy who answered second, I'm a guy.

Hello there,
yu're 14, so it means you're in ur puberty phaze n still growing... smetimes the hormones make you feel differently. i was the same at your age. don't worry, its' just the 'dark phaze' of your life. it might last for 1-3 more years, but u will be ok. do ur prayers and what not... you will b fine. go out more, talk to ur friends. don't stay on your own :) you DONT NEED a PSYCHIATRIST!
the human being can be complex at times. we are all different!

it doesnt mean ur not like the other girls of ur age though... just try to make more friends n such.

Guilt over birth control pills?
Free Slide Background #19

I have been with my boyfriend for two years and have been taking the pill dutifully every day. A couple of weeks ago I took two home pregnancy tests- both came back positive, but a follow up test from the doctor's showed I was not pregnant.

My doctor said it was most likely that an egg had been fertilized, but not implanted. I have been pro-choice and a good atheist my entire logical life, and still am- inclusive of the knowledge that a baby is not exactly a sensate being in the first week after conception.

My desktop wallpaper is a tipsy Karl Marx with a lampshade on his head, for goodness sakes.

Yet I have been extremely bothered (Catholic guilt of my Nana type bothered) by the possibility that there could have been a baby, were it not for taking pills.

Over the last two weeks, I have kept taking my birth control, and will not stop doing so until I am able to care for a child, but it is getting harder for me to take it every day.

Advice, logic, hormone blockers?

there's no grey area, its black or white.. u either believe that sex is what we do in a society when we commit to someone and are ready to raise a family.. and perhaps controlling the number of children then would be a guilt free activity.. or on the other hand, you believe that sex is an intimate connection that can be manipulated with to suit your life style. You seem to be confused between the two. Think of your beliefs, values, and personal agendas that make you up.. and decide which side you need to be on. Yeah i know, sounds stubborn! but at the end of the day, its how it is.

Why are so many Israelis living in denial?
Prepare the Way of the Lord

They say why persian cares about persia, why russians care about russia etc...
Thinking that the current Israelis are the native of this middle eastern land. well I've been to Israel and majority of the Israelis look Europeans.

A native of that land should look like this http://www.cyberpages.com/images/childre n/2153.jpg
Dark hair & eyes with olive skin color due to the temperature and geographical location.
not like this http://www.wallpaperbase.com/wallpapers/ celebs/scarlettjohansson/scarlett_johans son_4.jpg

So obviously most of Israelis are europeans who converted to Judaism. converting to a religion gives you no right in a land.

Come on please think of it it's like saying all Bahia's are Iranians, all muslims are saudis and all catholics are Vatican's.

you guys aren't the native of this land, so why do you lie and then start believing your own lie?

do they look middle eastern to you?
Annt Hu DeShalit, your answer is totally irrelevant. You ran away from this corner to another, you answer has 0 links to my question. My question is that Israelis are most European Jews migrated to the land in the Middle East, so how can they claim they are the native of this land while if they just looked in the mirror they can realize what a joke they are.

thats true,
persian jews look like other persians, european jews look like other europeans, arab jews look like other arabs,... they are all different.
that can be because they are converted to judaism or bacause of the fact that races mix together.

In Spain celebrations for Catholic Holy Week are often spectacular. Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday are all national public holidays with additional days being given as local holidays. There are long processions through the streets with "pasos"(religious floats and sculptures). Religious statues are carried along on the shoulders of the "cofrades"(members of a brotherhood)

Make Me Ugly, Lord – The Story of St. Brigid of Ireland | FeedAgg.com

Make Me Ugly, Lord – The Story of St. Brigid of Ireland As a Catholic, I love the Saints. As a Catholic living out my Lenten obligation, or trying to, I love them even more when I suffer from lack of chocolate chips in my cookies or from the consumption of burgers on Fridays. Their sufferings make mine so small and so easily doable when I read about their beheadings, the stripes inflicted on their backs by enemies, their faithful adherence to the Truth that set them free even while shackled to prison walls and tied to stakes ready to be burned by their own Church sometimes. For each day in the human calendar, their is a Catholic Saint ready to intercede for a world so far secularized they are numb to the heavenly aides who are available to guide them daily toward Christ. February has its...
