I know that for most churches and organizations there are certain rules that you need to follow if you are going to be a leader. Is it the same for catholic youth leaders like dating, ect??

yes there are rules and you can find them out by contacting your local diocies headquarters. more rules have been implaced ever since the media began blowing all of the priest scandles out of proportion.

Does anyone know of any Catholic youth groups (ages early 20's) in Montreal, Quebec that meet regularly to discuss religious issues, etc?

Montreal is a wonderful city. I visited it in 1967, for the Expo.

I'm in California, sorting the R&S questions by number of answers and trying to help the ones no one else has answered.

Why don't you call the biggest Catholic church in the city and ask? They would know. It sounds like something they would have.

I'm Catholic, and i recently just went to a Non-Denominational Christian youth ministry with my friend. Does that go against being catholic? It sounded like a good idea since we share similar beliefs. I just wanted to know what they were all about.

Can I have examples??
What about dating policy? Are they allowed to date if so does the other person have to be catholic??

My husband is a catholic youth minister. As far as your personal life is concerned, as long as you live a moral life and you aren't shacking up with someone or being seen being inappropriately physical with a girl in public there shouldn't be a problem with you dating. Lay employees of the catholic church are not expected to live their lives as if they were priests or nuns. Every Diocese has its only rules about what you can and can't do as far as the job part of being a youth minister, but as far as I know, we have never been in a Diocese that had written policies about youth minsters' personal lives.
