What is Epiphany in an Anglican Catholic church?
Moments of Epiphany [St. Peter's Basilica]

The Epiphany is an ancient Christian feast day and is significant in a number of ways. In the East, where it originated, the Epiphany celebrates the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist in the River Jordan. It also celebrates Jesus' birth.
The Western Church began celebrating the Epiphany in the 4th century where it was, and still is, associated with the visit of the magi (wise men) to the infant Jesus when God revealed himself to the world through the incarnation of Jesus.
For many Protestant church traditions, the season of Epiphany extends from 6 January until Ash Wednesday, which begins the season of Lent leading to Easter.
Other traditions, including the Roman Catholic tradition, observe Epiphany as a single day, with the Sundays following Epiphany counted as Ordinary Time.
The Epiphany is also known as Dia de los Reyes (Three Kings Day).

Epiphany church doctorines?

what do they believe . are they like protestants or catholic... baptist , methodist and so on....

Never heard of it.
But the word 'epiphany' means manifestation.
Epiphany as a day and a season following it are named for Christ's birth causing the world of the Gentiles to take notice of the God of Israel. Hence the arrival of the Magi at the birthplace (according to the stories).
Epiphany in this sense is God appearing to the world. Possibly the Epiphany Church sees itself as aiding God in becoming known to the world through the way the congregation lives out its life in accordance to the Scriptures as they interpret them.

Religious epiphany?????
Driekoningen 02

so i was not raised very religious but attend church at least twice a year, but latley i have been very skeptical about some things, i have never really sided with the catholic church on their beliefs but i believed in jesus and god. Now im not so sure...i really don tthink jesus was the son of god and i think god sort of exists but i dont think he started this world nor will he end it, and i dont think he has any control over us. And some recent events have definetly made me believe even less. I truly think most of the worlds wars and problems(not diseases but like conflicts) have to do with religion, and we'd be better without it

-Has anyone else experienced something like this?? Please share so i dont feel like im being a totally bad person
---i was listening to john lennons IMAGINE yesterday and the first line is imagine theres no heaven, its easy if you try. And it really is...thiis song really influenced me into completly ruling out most religion..

-also i got into a fight with a religous friend abotu abortion and stuff and she just called me ignorant and told me my argument was elementary and this totally turned me off from christianity

It's always exciting when you start thinking differently and considering a different way of seeing the world. You want to talk about it with other people and you think they'll be just as excited as you, but sometimes gets disappointed. Not everyone is there.

Still, we can disagree and still respect each other's opinions. Just remember that and remind others sometimes too.

Information isn't actually for me... I got an A at GCSE and I'm actually a catholic however just seem to have misplaced a lot of information. I'm an embarrassment to my religion!

That's no good. That's like 10 questions rolled into one. Seriously. And I could spend hours on just the first question...sorry not doing it.

How does this make U feel Sodus residents take stand for illegal farmworkers?
2010_HolySupper_0008

On any given Sunday in the Wayne County village of Sodus, people stand outside a small Catholic church, attempting to quietly interfere with the work of the U.S. Border Patrol.
As these people, most of whom are white, stand watch at the Church of the Epiphany, brown-skinned people gather inside to hear a priest and a nun leading the Spanish-language Mass. Group members standing watch don't carry signs because they don't want people to beep car horns in support or derision — either of which would disturb the church service.
The citizens are taking a weekly stand against U.S. policy on immigration, calling attention to a system whose enforcement they say is unjust and even racist. Moreover, they say it endangers the Sodus economy, which is predominantly fueled by agriculture and the illegal aliens who work on many local farms.
While federal lawmakers are getting ready to take another stab at fixing the controversial situation, a local group called Migrant Support Services has formed to bear witness to, and prevent persecution of, Latino farmworkers in and around the village of 5,200."This is happening in small-town America," said Dr. John "Lory" Ghertner, 60, a Sodus nursing home owner turned social justice advocate.

Some of the Mexican church-goers are illegal immigrants, having come to the Sodus area to take advantage of plentiful farm jobs. Experts estimate about 8,000 farmworkers are in Wayne County, drawn by the work that comes with being the second-largest apple-producing county in the U.S.
"We've had farmworkers here forever. It's the way this community has always operated," said Denise Devalk, 58, a member of the church watch group who patrolled the roads one recent Sunday looking for the familiar white-and-green Border Patrol cars. If she had seen the patrol, she would have called the church to put out the word that it was unsafe to attend Mass. If the cars had shown up during Mass, the priest would have been contacted to inform the congregation to stay inside until the roads were clear.

Oh Im sure its not because they are God fearing people I would lay money on it being about these farmers fear of losing cheap labor. They don't want to have to pay an American a decent wage to do this job.No its all about self serving needs not the illegals. As a Catholic who has gone to my in laws church who has a Spanish Priest Ive heard all the sob stories before. It still doesn't change the fact that these people are illegal and law breakers.

Our Journey to Honduras | Church of the Epiphany

Honduras Interfaith Missions…our avenue for relationship with Divine Mercy Catholic Community

The challenge of mission in solidarity is the challenge of relationship.  How can a faith community from a world power be in mutual, respectful relationship with a faith community of a struggling, developing nation?

For two years, members of Epiphany have been traveling to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, as part of ecumenical teams that include organizers from St. John’s Catholic Church(Eminence KY), Good Shepherd Catholic Church(Frankfort KY), and First United Methodist of Frankfort. The teams began as “medical brigades”, but soon branched out into dentistry, children’s ministries, reading glasses and more. Originally organized in 2001 by Jim Burris and other members of 1st UMC Frankfort, the teams have always been ecumenical in its makeup. It wasn’t long before the Methodists were supporting their Catholic team members in building relationship with the Catholics of Divina Misericordia, or Divine Mercy. And so was born Honduras Interfaith Missions.
