One who had a lifetime of giving to people less fortunate than herself, and one who focused on children as she got older. I would like her to have a strong, assertive personality that may have bordered on acceptable by religious standards. Someone who may have "rocked-the boat", so-to-speak. Thanks for your help!

Once you have asked the Saints already mentioned for assistance with prayer, don't forget our Blessed Mother... Mary. She will never fail in bringing our petitions to her son for us. I myself will pray for you and your intentions... that God will make his will known to you and give you strength and comfort to see it through.
wearing a blue dress, a black hat, holding a basket in her left hand, and plants in the right. She's also wearing some big brown thing over her dress. She's on my all saint's bracelet, and I've been asking everyone who she is!
Ok. Thanks for the stupid answer. First off, Catholic Saints are all REAL HUMANS. Unlike stupid Roman/Greek gods who were made up. Maybe you should "look in" a little deeper! If you don't believe me, there are plenty of saints canonized each month, that were all alive during the past century. Sheesh. Stop being so ignorant.
Sounds like Venus or the norse pagan goddess Freya, all of the catholic saints I've looked into were based upon pagan gods.
My name is Bianca Monique Ruholl. I need a saint name for my confirmation this year. The hard part is finding one that goes with my name.So any help would be great.
You have an interesting mix of languages...
Bianca is Italian
Monique is French,
and Ruholl, I believe, is either German or Dutch.
I'd either go with a version of a saint that either matches one of those, or just goes an entirely different direction...Spanish or even English.
So...Teresa, Cristina, Catalina, Verónica, Isn't there a LIST of saints, somewhere?
Try going to a baby naming site, and search "saint names". That might be your best bet.

Gun Saint Society Honors Fort Hood Police Heroes - Christian Forums
The Society's patron, St. Gabriel Possenti, used handguns in 1860 to rescue villagers in Isola del Gran Sasso, Italy from a gang of terrorizing marauders. He died of natural causes in 1862.
