How do I become a catholic when my family doesn't want to?

My family wont become catholic with me. I'm only 13 years old and I really want to join the church. Help please?

Catholicism is The only true Christian Faith. Catholicism leads to eternal happiness in heaven, since Catholicism teaches a full gospel, because Catholicism teaches

We are saved by Christ's grace alone, through faith and works done in charity inspired by the Holy Spirit for salvation, and that is a true gospel of works Matthew 25:33-46 NO WORKS NO FAITH.32 Jesus answered them: Many good works I have showed you from my Father. For which of those works do you stone me And The Catholic Church.
If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. 38 But if I do, though you will not believe me, believe the works: that you may know and believe that the Father is in me and I in the Father.

John 14:12:

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

(GALATIANS 1:6-9). For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God--not because of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them" (EPHESIANS 2:8-10)

It's clear from the Book of Acts in the Bible that Catholics existed during the days of Acts. And Is where the word Christian was invented.
Evodius was the first Bishop of Antioch a Catholic, and he is credited with being the first person to call the followers of Christ, "Christians", as shown in Acts 11:26. See Eusebius, book 3, chapter 22.http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/05653a.h tm
Saint Ignatius (35-107), the second Bishop of Antioch wrote a letter to the Smyrneans in 107 A.D..
In this letter is recorded the first known use of the words "Catholic Church"...

Catholicism existed for Centuries before any Protestant sect was formed .Centuries after Jesus formed the First church the catholic church.. Those in the Book of Acts are the first Christians, and they believed what would be called Catholic doctrine today. ANYONE can read the Book of Acts for themselves and see. Had Protestantism existed during the time of Acts, the first Christians would have rejected It completely Because the Bible was not yet formed neither the doctrines of OSAS , Faith alone, and Sola scriptura. .

Also there's Heretic Christians who also completely rejected Catholicism, long before Martin Luther was even born. At the Council Of Nicea they were rejected and were called Arians. Which is why we have the belief In the Trinity they rejected the heretics.

And there is no "pope" in the Bible Because they were called Bishops Which is what they are still called. Every "pope" is a Vicar Of Christ.

There were ALWAYS saved believers outside the catholic , who did not know The full truth of Catholicism but that was by the grace of the savior they would have been catholic if given the time.

Catholicism saves. By Only believing in Jesus alone for salvation, That is what the Catholic church teaches.

The truth is that Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! :D The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell, is by believing

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father [and the Son].
With the Father and the Son
he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. AMEN.

I'm not a "protestant". I'm a saved believer in Jesus

I am starting my RCIA course tonight and I am a little worried that I won't find a sponsor to become catholic at the end of it. Does anyone know if the course teacher can find you a sponsor? how does this work?

If you need, the RCIA team will give you the names of a few potential sponsors from which you can pick.

Just let the RCIA team know of your need.

How do I become Catholic under 18?

How do I become Catholic under 18? I'm 14 and I'm going to become a Catholic...how do I do it. I know I have to have a parents say...but do I talk to a Priest and say "I want to join your church"? Or what? Also, what are the steps you must take. Are they difficult? How will I learn more about the Church in the process?

I am assuming that you weren't baptized when you were a child. You will have to go find a church that you like and talk to the priest or another layperson that helps those seeking faith. You are going to have to take classes to learn about the Catholic religion. You learn history and rules and prayers and why we do what we do. once you learn everything you need to know and say that you still want to become Catholic then you will be baptized, receive your first communion, penance, and be confirmed. For older people this is usually all done at once and is held during the Easter Vigil mass. But some churches do it at other times of the year as will. It depends on the diocese. Don't worry none of this is hard. There aren't any crazy tests or anything. They just want to make sure you understand everything about the religion.

The other answer said that you should get confirmed. I just want to make sure that you know that you can't be confirmed without being baptized first.
Good Luck and God Bless.

How can I become a Catholic?

My fiance is Catholic and I've gone from Atheist, to Agnostic to wanting to become saved because I think I actually do believe in god. I believe in angles, and demons, so god must exist too. But I'm far to old to be confirmed and I want to be Catholic because my fiance is. Can I still become Catholic?

Of course.

If you are interested in joining or just learning more about the Catholic Church, contact your local parish and ask for information about their RCIA Inquiry group.

You can go and ask any questions you want.

This is the first step in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) but you can stop at any time.

There is no obligation to become a Catholic.

How does one 'become' a Muslim? Is it like becoming Catholic where you have to go to classes, a ceremony...

and get a certificate etc. ?
Or do you just study the Koran on your own and attend a mosque and embrace the belief and traditions etc.

In the Name of God, Most Beneficent, Most Merciful
I thank you for your trust and ask Allah to give us(Muslims) and you wisdom to show what is the truth.

Any human being can embrace Islam and become a Muslim. You do not need anyone’s permission. You simply say and believe that there is No God except Allah and that Mohammad is his Messenger. Once you say this sentence, you automatically become Muslim.

To become a Muslim, simply say the following words:

Ash hadu alla ilaha illa Allah, wa ash hadu anna Mohammadan abduhu wa rasuluhu.

This means I testify and witness that there is no god worthy of being worshipped other than Allah and that Mohammad is his Messenger. You must say it and believe in it.

You can embrace Islam in any Islamic center. This is only a formality. Once you say and believe in the Oneness of Allah and in the message of his Prophet Mohammad, then you are a Muslim.

I extend the warmest of welcomes to you, and offer my congratulations for the new direction you are about to take. May Allah protect you from all evil.

Hope this helps,
Your brother in Islam.

This time, however, the danger is greater. It has become more international and menacing, threatening even Pope Benedict, who has done the most in recent years to purge what on Good Friday 2005 he called “the filth” out of the Church and also out of modern society. Clearly, that is a major reason he is such a target. It is not coincidental, in my opinion, that this is also happening while the White House is occupied by the most aggressively anti-life and anti-Christian U.S. president in history. It is also important to note that Barack Obama has co-opted many influential Catholic dissidents, with some of his key henchmen being rabidly anti-Catholic “Catholics” such as Nancy Pelosi and Kathleen Sibelius. Our several news reports have made it clear that...
