The Office.

I propose a Challenge for any and all Atheists?
DSC_0010

Myself: I am Christian. I attend a Catholic high school and am currently studying within the ninth grade.

I challenge any proclaimed Atheist to give me a list of fifteen Atheist people who have affected or contributed in any appreciable way to any sort of civil or equal rights movement.(i.e. the leader of a movement) or really any other major contributions to culture, such as science.

Dare I remind you of the many religious people who have done just this (I assume you all know what these people have done, if not Google them):
Mohandas Karamchand Ghandi
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Mother Theresa
Archbishop Desmond Tutu
Nelson Mandela
Kasturba Ghandi
Sir Isaac Newton
Benjamin Franklin
Thomas Jefferson
Abraham Lincoln
John F. Kennedy
Susan B. Anthony
Pope John Paul II
Nikola Tesla
Leonardo da Vinci
Galileo Galilei
Michelangelo
Mozart
Aristotle
Plato
Hypocrates
Robert F. Kennedy
Malcolm X etc. ( to name of small fraction )

Oh and I challenge you to name one single man who has had a more profound effect on the outcome of human development than Jesus Christ (1/3 of the world's population is directly affected by his teachings).

Lastly, I am not claiming that the listed people are all Christian. I am telling whoever reads this that they all are religious and believed in a higher power (i.e. some kind of God).

Also I challenge you to respond to this:
“ Gravity explains the motions of the planets, but it cannot explain who set the planets in motion. God governs all things and knows all that is or can be done. This most beautiful system of the sun, planets, and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent Being. … This Being governs all things, not as the soul of the world, but as Lord over all; and on account of his dominion he is wont to be called “Lord God” παντοκρατωρ [pantokratōr], or “Universal Ruler”. … The Supreme God is a Being eternal, infinite, absolutely perfect. Opposition to godliness is atheism in profession and idolatry in practice. Atheism is so senseless and odious to mankind that it never had many professors.”
- Sir Isaac Newton
as well as the fact that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a BAPTIST MINISTER

Is it time to start real profiling?
DSC_0111

To ensure we Americans never offend anyone -- particularly
fanatics intent on killing us -- law enforcement and security
screeners are not allowed to "profile" people in public places or
security checkpoints. However, they will continue to perform
random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots
with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members
of the President's security detail, 85-year-old congressmen with
metal hips and even Medal of Honor recipients. But targeting
Middle Eastern male Islamists between the ages 17 and 40
constitutes "ethnic profiling."

President George Bush said this week, "America is at war with
Islamic fascists who will use any means to destroy those of us
who love freedom, to hurt our nation." The Council on
American-Islamic Relations issued an immediate objection to the
President's reference to "Islamic fascists". Nihad Awad,
executive director of CAIR protested, "We have to isolate these
individuals because there is nothing in the Koran or the Islamic
faith that encourages people to be cruel or to be vicious or to
be criminal. Muslims world wide know that for sure." In light of
this objection, we are left to ponder why every Islamic leader in
the U.S., and the world, does not publicly condemn every terror
action being undertaken in the name of the god of Islam. Their
silence is deafening...

Between 1970 and present, there were more than 60 other notable
examples of terrorism perpetrated by Middle Eastern male
Islamists between the ages 17 and 40, but we think you get the
point. Singling out "Middle Eastern male Islamists between the
ages 17 and 40" is not "ethnic profiling," it's "terrorist
profiling" -- acting on prolific evidence.

Anyone for Terrorist Profiling?

Yes Very very good. Exactly we are at "WAR" with Islamo Fascists, They are and look like "ARABS". When will this insanity end. Profiling has it's place. This is where it belongs. If it looks like a terrorist, and smells like a terrorist, well by God, the chances are he might be a terrorist.
Not one of the Bombings have been carried out by a little ol lady from Cincinnati.

Will this verify my question ?
DSC_0013

I asked if anyone remembered the controversy in the 1960 campaign about JFK being a Catholic and the fear campaign the GOP waged about Papal rule and losing the Nation to Vatican control if JFK were elected.

Several people called me into question of this actually happening and requested a source.
Although I lived this part of history and recall the controversy quite clearly, being a high school student quite caught up in the election. I researched and did fine this atricle{

Religion in the 1960 Presidential Election
Religion in the 1960 Presidential Election

In the year of 1960 many political issues were arising. One political issue in particular was the presidential election. Kennedy running against Nixon, and Catholicism was the biggest concern about Kennedy. The Catholicism concern ranged from power with the church, money in the church, and the over all out comes of the election.

The Presidential Election in the 1960’s was one not to be forgotten, Kennedy vs. Nixon. Many factors laid in the 1960 election for John F. Kennedy, concerning Catholicism. Many of the Americans voters were concerned with the fact that Kenney being a Roman Catholic. Not only was that a big concern in the election, but the voters were a little more concern with the fact of the church having any influence in Kennedy’s decision making. They, American voters, were very concerned with Kennedy siding with the Vatican’s. This was a major concern, America was having to deal with a Roman Catholic running for president that was very much liked by many of the American voters in that day. “A Roman Catholic president would be under extreme pressure by the hierarchy of his church”, said Dr. Peale, a supporter of Nixon, from the September 1960 edition of the Biloxi Post

Is this enough to verify the facts or do I need to provide more proof ?

I did not question you ! But one or two did......i do not doubt what
you say and so be it !

Glad you have the above for those to read . The thing is anybody
running for president is fare game.....whatever they are do believe
say and go is all there for the taking and talking , and people will do
what you will with the outcome.
