What is Catholic High School like?
197/365.

Are the kids there the same as public school? I know they'll be smarter, if you have to take a test to get in, right? Will there be like rock bands that like the students are in? (I want to be one)
Are the kids the same personality wise or are they more stuck up? Will it be just like public school with different classes. Are there emos and goths? (If you're one to label, I am) Are there a lot of bullies like public school? Sorry I'm asking so many questions!
If you go to or have been to a Catholic High School please help!
The school is Marian Catholic, by the way.

i loved my catholic school. everyone is so close and everything. there are plenty of bands, and you should join one. the kids are actually a lot more down to earth. you will have uniforms right? so you don't have to worry about what you wear because everyone will be wearing it.

Marian High or Novi High?
love means nothing in tennis.

Okay, here's the problem. I have two choices for high schools that I can go to. One is Novi High, and the other one is a Catholic school called Marian High School. My friends (Alyssa, Emily, and Shae) are going there and I've known them since 6th, 2nd, and 3rd grade (in order for each person). There is one girl I know that is going to Novi, but I don't really like her that much. There's another girl, whom I haven't seen since I was 7, and it would be really great to see her again. Where should I go? Marian or Novi?A place where my recent friends are going, or a place where I can meet new people, and someone I haven't seen in a while?

i suggest a place with new people. try asking your parent what they would prefer.

I hate my school and my grades are bad??
70/365.

My parents made me change schools for sophomore year and the school (marian catholic high school) is a good school and all but I absolutley hate the place. The grading system is so stupid and I have never had such bad grades in my life!! I want to go back to my old school or another school in the neighborhood. I live in the city and the school is in the suburbs..I lost all my friends from freshman year, and i have no REAL friends. The school gives out so much homework but only give you 2 points of credit..Im just about failing everything and it isnt that I dont understand or study, but the test are sraight up HARD! I want to go back to my old school but my parents won't let me..or atleast im scared to ask...I get in trouble wwhen my grades are low and this is the first time time that i have actually cried about my grades...I hate the school but don't know what to do??? Just becuase the school might be one of the top schools and is good in everything doesnt mean its the school for me??

tell ur parents how u feel. i'm sure if u xplain reallly well about ur feelings ur parents will understand. i feel srry for u and that ur school sucks.

My parents are making me go to an All girls Catholic school and I've been in public schools all my life?
224/365.

Im really mad. I have to go to an all girls Catholic School. So I just have questions about it to maybe change my mind. Yeah i have a lot of questions. Im going to Marian High School
Is it harder than public schools?
Is it easy to meet friends?
Are they lez, because i need boys in my life xP?
Yeah I hate labels but im very curious. I have "scene" hair would they let me tease it and have it like that?
Are all the girls the same?
Is it true you get into colleges easier?
And is it true your basically paying for them to pass you?

I thought it was very helpful to not have boys in class. If you want to meet boys have a party and invite all the eligible boys to meet them. You need that extra edge to concentrate. Girls have a tendency to suppress intelligence when boys are around to impress them or gain the attention of boys. Also if you ever thought you were going to make it in life on your looks you will learn that with so many beautiful women it is highly unlikely. It is beneficial on a resume that you went to a quality school any edge to make it in this world is beneficial.

I need your help 4 reasoning and persuading?
148/365.

ok listen see i'm graduating from conerstone christian school and my mom wants me to go to another private school Call d Marian Catholic High School but I want to go to a public high school called Home Flossmore High school so can u guys help me plz on how to reason and persuade her ? plz help

mom, i appreciate the fact that you love me enough to want to protect me but, i am in high school now. i need to see the world from a different perspective. i have graduated and done all that you have asked of me until now and feel that i deserve a chance to experience life with normal kids in a public school environment. at least give me a chance and if you see my grades suffering, i will give in to your demands.

While the apple truly does not fall far from the tree in the Hochstetler family, to suggest as much to them might draw a stifled laugh - given the sort of falling apples usually encountered in harness racing.

But then, to hear 17-year-old Jay Hochstetler tell it, he's used to hidden meanings that befuddle his Marian Catholic High School classmates.

"I'll bring a friend over for dinner and (it's like) my family has a totally different language we're speaking because my friend doesn't know a thing about horses," Jay said.

The Hochstetlers, who live in Crete, know plenty.

Jay's great-grandfather, Foy Funderburk, is in the Illinois Harness Horseman's Association Hall of Fame. His grandfather, Doug Ackerman, is in the United States Hall of Fame. Homer, Jay's father, is one of the top horse trainers in Illinois and was inducted into the IHHA Hall of Fame on Jan. 24, 2009.
