When will Servite finally beat Mater Dei and end the streak? Servite has not beaten Mater Dei since 1988?
Mater Dei High School - Front Vw

Mater Dei High School and Servite High School are well-known private Catholic High Schools located in Orange County, Southern California. Mater Dei is probably the most well-known high school, USC Heisman Trophy Winner Matt Leinart went there, and incoming USC freshman QB, Matt Barkley went there, who was the number one recruit in the Nation this year. Also Mater Dei is very well-known for it's boys basketball program. Anyway, Mater Dei and Servite are big-time rivals, whenever they play eachother every year, they draw huge crowds, 2 times they have played at Angel Stadium, and have attracted at least 25,000 people. Last years game at Cal State Fullerton was sold out in less than 24 hours.
Servite has gotten better in recent years, but they still have been unable to beat Mater Dei, like Servite has beaten teams which Mater Dei has lost to, but Mater Dei still beats Servite, in 2006, Servite was so close to beating them, but they missed a field goal that bounced off the left goal post, Mater Dei won by 1 touchdown on a 14 yard run, other than that, the previous years and years after, Mater Dei slaughted Servite.

Why hasn't Servite been able to beat Mater Dei in football? Mater Dei has dominated Servite 20 years in a row?
August 18, 2006 Mater Dei Football

Mater Dei and Servite are two Private Catholic High Schools in Orange County, Southern California. They are huge rivals, whenever Mater Dei and Servite play eachother in football, it gets packed, it's more like a College game and an NFL game compared to a typical High School Football game. Last years game got sold out of Tickets in less than a day, which were rumors.
Anyway, it does not make sense, because Servite has been able to beat other schools which Mater Dei has lost to, but yet Mater Dei still beats Servite.
Because in 2006, 2007, and last year 2008, Servite beat Orange Lutheran, Orange Lutheran beat Mater Dei, but Mater Dei still beated Servite. Last year Mater Dei lost to the school Edison from Huntington Beach, CA, Sevite beat Edison, but Mater Dei still beat Servite. It does not make sense, when will Mater Dei's inexplicable dominance over Servite ever come to an end?

Some teams just own other teams. Happens all the time

Why do you think Mater Dei and Servite are big-time rivals if Mater Dei has beaten Servite 20 years in a row?

I am referring to 2 Private Catholic High Schools in Orange County, Southern California. Mater Dei's football team has beaten Servite 20 years in a row, the last time Servite beat Mater Dei was 1988. Last year the game was sold out at Cal State Fullerton, it got sold out right away, in less than a day, like I heard that there were people that arrived at 4 or 5 in the morning just to wait in line to buy tickets. In 2007 and 2006, the Mater Dei vs. Servite game was played at Angel Stadium, and more than 20,000 people showed up, 22,000 was the number of estimated people to be there. Why is it a rivalry if it is one-side? Mater Dei has not lost to Servite since 1988, also it is an all-boys school vs. a co-ed school.
at the games there are more adults than teens, heck you see a lot of 60 to 70 year old people there. It's more like a college game than a high school game.

Mater Dei has better cheerleaders also lol!

On a recent Monday morning, about two dozen teenagers were busy at work in the 15,000-square-foot complex in a corner of the 2,200-student Los Altos High School in Hacienda Heights, Calif., about 15 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.

The students - some of which weren't even old enough to drive - were quietly soldering batteries, molding fiberglass panels, tweaking computer models and doing whatever else was needed to prepare the hydrogen-powered, battery-powered and solar-powered vehicles that will be shown off at the academy's fifth-annual open house fundraiser next month.

And they've even extended an invitation to President Obama.

"He once mentioned something in a speech about how American students need to learn about this, and that they're not getting that kind of thing right now," said Arielle Barnes, an 18-year-old senior and fourth-year academy member who spends about 15 hours a week overseeing the school's electrical team. "So I think if he came here, he could say, 'Look, somebody is actually working on this.' "

Mater Dei High School boys varsity golf team captures victory ...

SANTA ANA, Calif. -- Mater Dei High School and its Boy's Varsity Golf Team, ranked number #4 in Orange County, clinched both the A and B divisions at the Diamondback Tournament in Apple Valley, CA.

Coach Martin divided the Varsity squad into two teams, one for the A division and a second for the B division. His decision proved to be constructive. The A team was led by Brian Campbell who shot a 4-under par 68, followed by Camden Price who shot 1-over at 73, followed by Braden Cluck at a 2-over 74, and Michael Haeri who rounded the team out at a 76 to collect a first place finish.

The B team was equally impressive as the A team. Joey Caucas shot a 3-over par for a 75, followed up by Nico Mendoza whose 76 inspired Matt Cwalina to shoot a 77 and Grant Rapoza's 84 kept the squad in contention to capture the B division.
