I just mentioned this in an answer to another question. About 20 years ago the encyclopedia had an excellent article on evolution which ended with this statement:
"The fact of biological evolution can no longer be seriously disputed." Verbatim.
Does anyone know the history of why that was removed from subsequent versions of the encyclopedia?
No idea but probably just another sign of a religion who would turn their back on the bible to stay popular.
The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.
‘Christ according to the faith, is the second person in the Trinity, the Father being the first and the holy Ghost the third. Each of these three persons is God. Christ is his own father and his own son. The Holy Ghost is neither father nor son, but both. The son was begotten by the father, but existed before he was begotten--just the same before as after. Christ is just as old as his father, and the father is just as young as his son. The Holy Ghost proceeded form the Father and Son, but was an equal to the Father and Son before he proceeded, that is to say before he existed, but he is of the same age as the other two. Nothing ever was, nothing ever can be more perfectly idiotic and absurd than the dogma of the Trinity.’

Why The Encyclopedia Americana declares the trinity is falsehood?
In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.
yeah, it's the same in the quran. muslims believe that god is the only one, and trinity is just nıt right. we can say that islam is unitarian, too.
The New Catholic Encyclopedia admits: “The majority of N[ew] T[estament] texts reveal God’s spirit as something, not someone; this is especially seen in the parallelism between the spirit and the power of God.” (1967, Vol. XIII, p. 575) It also reports: “The Apologists [Greek Christian writers of the second century] spoke too haltingly of the Spirit; with a measure of anticipation, one might say too impersonally.”—Vol. XIV, p. 296.
Because christians neither know nor understand Her. They are too obsessed with the holy bible and the evil god of the o.t.

Should Judas be Forgiven?: Redeeming the Man who Betrayed the Redeemer
He is one of the most infamous figures in the Bible. His crime is considered by Christians as the most grievous of them all: the betrayal of the Son of God Himself. Judas Iscariot has forever been maligned by all of Christendom, but is this dubious reputation at all deserved? Should the supposedly treasonous apostle be held accountable for something that was meant to happen?
The Apostles' Money ManHailing from the Judean city of Kerioth (hence the name "Iscariot," derived from the Hebrew language as "a man of Kerioth"), the man known to the world as Judas was one of the original twelve apostles of Jesus Christ. Exactly how he was called into the Lord's ministry is never made clear, but what is known is that he held the apostles' money bag; that is, he was responsible for managing their finances. And as the story goes, money (thirty pieces of silver, in fact) was instrumental in getting him to turn his back on his Master. But was greed the primary motive in his crime?
...Beth Arnold: Letter From Paris: Easter Parade « health, mens ...
The French may not be so religious–though they’ve been on a centuries-long roller coaster with the Roman Catholic church–but they’re all for holidays, including Easter. There will be an Easter fete, and Easter Monday will be celebrated as another day of observance and vacation. It would seem that Europeans have more days off than we could shake a stick at, while we Americans cut ours to the bone. Lest one forget: Europe is the Old World, and that includes religion, so holidays follow that of the old church, and that, New World American Protestants, would be the Catholic. But Old World or New, Easter is the symbol of growth and renewal, and it’s one of my favorite celebrations. The coming of spring is reason enough to celebrate the natural cycles of life and our good earth, the baby plants and animals that are emerging into the world, the newborn leaves that are looking to the sun for their first breaths. In Paris, and in typical French style, the windows are decorated everywhere we look. But there is no doubt that the first order of Easter is for chocolate! Boulangeries, patisseries, and chocolatiers have decorated their windows to the chocolate nth degree, and we are drooling over them. Eric Kayser Artisan Boulanger (Photo by Beth Arnold) Eric Kayser Artisan Boulanger (Photo by Beth Arnold) The cakes, pastries, and other desserts beautifully displayed in the windows are lip-licking worthy. In this case, the cakes come from Fauchon . Fauchon (Photo by Beth Arnold) Isn’t it always a pleasure to see the flower shops and markets that line Parisian streets. Easter is another delectable floral holiday, when the French love to bestow a bouquet of flowers on their hosts.
