I am not for the gay marrige. But this firendship commitments vows is not a sin unless there sin involvement. Can they uses this issues to collects health and etc from the insurances with being gay or not.
If a priest knows its using in a sinful way he would not allows any person takes this vow if they living in a sinful life. This is very true being with Holy Charity is of God. We have saints of the same sex as great firends but not sinful lovers. Some need to take the vow in order to get the insurance cheaper with any sins involves. But if the priest does not know of the hidden sins. The program would only be good to collect cheapter insurance but not the vow in God eye.
My Kung Fu teacher is buddhist, he's a really nice and great man, I admire him greatly. I'm scared that he might spend eternity in hell I mean that just really scares me. I know other Taoist people and I'm afraid if they'll spend eternity in hell too. (I'm roman catholic) what does the pope/roman catholic church say about other religions? Please help me, thank you.
From the Cathechism of the Catholic Church:
842 The Church's bond with non-Christian religions is in the first place the common origin and end of the human race:
All nations form but one community. This is so because all stem from the one stock which God created to people the entire earth, and also because all share a common destiny, namely God. His providence, evident goodness, and saving designs extend to all against the day when the elect are gathered together in the holy city. . .[331]
843 The Catholic Church recognizes in other religions that search, among shadows and images, for the God who is unknown yet near since he gives life and breath and all things and wants all men to be saved. Thus, the Church considers all goodness and truth found in these religions as "a preparation for the Gospel and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life."[332]
Possibly. He definitely wasn't the only Pope to father a child. Pope Pius IV had three illegitimate sons, although I don't think any were raised to the episcopacy. The man who would become Pope Paul IV actually wrote about his escapades in Britain. It is important to remember that sins of the flesh, although mortal, are not as grievous as sins of pride.
Pope Clement XI was the Pope to put an end to the practice of nepotism within the Vatican. His own rise to glory makes for an interesting read:
"At the age of 11, Giovanni was sent to Rome to study. He was an excellent student and an outstanding young linguist. Arrangements were made for him to enter Queen Cristina's Academia before the required age and he finished a Doctor of Canon and Civil Law. At age 28, Giovanni was made a Prelate and served in Rieti, Sabina and Orvieto.
"From this service, he was called back to Rome to be Vicar of St. Peter's and then Secretary of Papal Briefs. In 1690 he was made a Cardinal-deacon and upon ordination a Cardinal-priest. In 1700, he reluctantly accepted election as Pope. His election was unusual in that he was only 51 and most of his career had been spent in linguistic and administrative work rather than the priesthood.
"His election was popular. He was seen as a reasonable man by the Protestant community. And Catholic reformers felt that his election was an end to nepotism by the Vatican because he had written so eloquently against the practice during his administrative career."

My favorite moment of the whole child abuse scandal in the Catholic Church was when Father Klaus Malangré suggested that Peter Hullermann, the redoubtable German pedophile priest, might be sent to work in a girls' school. No boys, no molestation. Or, in churchly language, no occasion of sin. Problem solved! Plus, the good father would spend his life warding off female cooties. Malangré must not have heard about priests-- and they do exist-- who abused both male and female children. Nor had he learned the lesson of Watergate: the cover-up is worse than the crime. The church has yet to learn that lesson. There is a positively Nixonian smarmy truculence in the response of church hierarchs to the ongoing scandal, which now involves Pope Benedict XVI himself. On Palm Sunday, New York Archbishop...

With yet another priestly pedophilia scandal shaking the Catholic Church, this time in Europe, the Vatican would be wise to consider a pragmatic solution toward the larger picture of encouraging healthy sexual expression among priests.
The Pope should seriously consider establishing and order that would welcome men who are already married and who want to become Catholic priests. At a later date, that order could expand to include priests who will retain the option to marry at a later date after entering the priesthood.
All married priests and their wives would have to be married in the Catholic Church, of course, and the couple would have to take an additional vow to be faithful. Funding allowances would have to be made for the fact that Father Joe or Monsignor Bob have a wife and kids, but the payback for Catholicism would be huge.
