I personally am In New York so the St Johns University would be closer, and is probably cheaper. Although I am very interested in Seton Hall University which seems in my opinion to be in the same type of status accept its a little larger. (seton hall looks a little like st john's buildings). I once worked at St.Johns for summer youth progream and was able to get a feeling of the enviornment there, so I was wondering on what your take is?
I teach at St. John's in the Management Department (though I am very familiar with Seton Hall as my wife is a Vice-president there). Both are good schools. However, you have to consider particular schools and majors and evaluate them competitively. St. John's pays its faculty third in the city after Columbia and NYU. Certainly more than CUNY. If you are contemplating a business major, you might examine my home page and get an idea of at least what one member of the faculty's credentials are. You notion that St. John's being much cheaper than Seton Hall might be mistaken. However, almost everyone who applies for financial aid at St. John's gets some so it might well work out to be true that way. St. John's is larger in enrollment and in campus size than Seton Hall. Certainly we have scads of new buildings too. Both schools have Big East sports, which can be a lot of fun. St. John's has an great many students from international backgrounds. It makes studying there an opportunity to become friends with people of many cultures, which is personally enriching.
Wishing you well,

I have to choose which high school I want to go to by February 7 and if possible, earlier. My choices are broken up into 2 categories: private/catholic and public/magnet. My private/catholic choices are: Mother Seton Regional High School, St. Vincent's Academy, and Benedictine Academy. My public/magnet choices are: Science High School, University High School, and Arts High School. I am oh so clueless because they are all great and phenomenal schools and they all seem to suit me. Please HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
which eva yr friends are going to
I am trying to find a home school curriculum for high school that is Catholic. Something like Seton or Kolbe but without all the bells and whistles. I will be taking care of recordkeeping, transcripts, and the like myself as it is an unnecessary cost. I'm trying to keep the costs as low as possible. I'd prefer something all in one and it definitely has to have lesson plans and all the work done out so I can just hand it to them and have it done. Kind of like a correspondence course but without the other end so answery keys and such are necessary. Please help!
I've seen that site already and it didn't help me. Thank you though.
Well, I am not Catholic, but a quick peruse of the net yielded this result.
Hope it helps:

I did notice that most sites were full service and could be quite costly, maybe this will allow you to tailor the curriculum to your needs.
What do you think St. Elizabeth Ann Seton would think/say?
None of you have yet answered what you think Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton would think or say. Isn't she the Saint of American Catholic schools?
Our parish members pay $400 for the first child, $200 for the second child, $100 for the third child PER YEAR at our school. Fourth & up kids are free. The parish pays the remaining $3,100, $3,300 and $3,400 (and up) out of the tithe collection, which registered parishioners contribute to, obviously.
Registered Catholics from other parishes pay $1000 for the first child, $500 for the second child and $250 for the third child PER YEAR. Fourth & up kids are free. The parish pays the remaining $2,500, $3,000 and $3,250 (and up) out of the tithe collection, which these Catholic families do NOT contribute to, because they tithe to their own parishes. (People who go to parishes that don't have a school pay the in-parish rate, btw).
So really, it's the in-parish people who pay most of the cost of educating their own kids and the non-parish kids.
I'm thinking that St. Elizabeth Ann Seton would say we're being quite generous to non-parish families.

"With this technology at your fingertips, you can create a just-in-time learning environment, stay in touch with professors, advisors, and classmates, research any topic at any time, engage in hybrid and fully on-line courses, and access a whole host of Seton Hill technology services," the school said on its Web site .
No word on which version of the iPad students will receive.
