After the hurricane
I was curious about your question, so I did a little research on the internet and found that it is still standing! I've never been there, but from the pictures and what the person who took them said, it is in just as good as condition as ever! It's circular-shaped structure probably helped it survive the storm. I'll provide a link below for you to look at. This link also has another link in it to view the outside of the church, and other than some debree in the church yard, everything looks good! I hope I have been some help.

A devotee seeks blessings at St Michaels's Church in Mumbai
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MUMBAI (AFP) — The Roman Catholic Church in India's financial capital Mumbai has rejected claims of a miracle, after devotees said a framed image of Jesus Christ began "bleeding" on a holy day.
Crowds of worshippers flocked to Saint Michael's Church in the Mahim district of central Mumbai on June 27 -- the holy day of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour -- after it was thought the depiction had started running blood red.
The Archbishop of Bombay, Cardinal Oswald Gracias, also visited and ordered a scientific analysis of the painting.
But he said in his weekly newsletter released Sunday: "The tests have now been conducted and it has been established that there are no traces of blood in the red rays emanating from the Heart of Jesus in this image of Divine Mercy."
Gracias, who leads some 500,000 Catholics in the Mumbai area, said he was at a loss to explain the phenomenon, but suggested that large crowds that day at the church, plus monsoon humidity, may have contributed.
The Catholic Church can be disappointing . But you would think with all of those witnesses they would call it a miracle.
I'm a Cradle Catholic and I believe in the traditions of the Catholic Church fully but my knowledge of traditions and scripture are somewhat mixed. My mother was Baptist and my dad was Lutheran. Both were taught about St. Michael the Archangel and the great battle in Heaven with Satan. I've been looking into it and I can't find it in the Bible. I was wondering if the story was a Catholic tradition.
But the battle in Revelations is not clear whether it is past, present, or future. The story clearly takes place before the fall of man.
The story is not in the Bible but is related in an apocryphyal book of the Old Testament (it's not in the Christian Old Testament) called the Book of Enoch that tells a bunch of dramatic stories about angels, including the war in heaven. Although angelology is not really that apparent in the Bible, it was a strong part of Judaism, which supposedly was absorbed into Judaism from the Babylonian culture. It carried over and persisted in its own way in Christianity--primarily Catholocism-- and was more commonly accessed in medieval and magical Christianity and Christianized folk culture, having been a little forgotten in modern Christianity (but followed either authentically or "fluffily" in New Age stuff and in ceremonial magic.)
The Archangel Michael is also called St. Michael and IS considered to be a saint in the Catholic Church. Jehovah Witnesses believe that Jesus is the incarnation of the Archangel Michael. Check out the Wikipedia entry on Michael. It is quite informational and interesting.

"LOUIS FARRAKHAN CLAIMS HE IS
BOTH A MUSLIM AND A CHRISTIAN
"A packed house welcomed Minister Louis Farrakhan to St. Sabina Catholic Church on Friday night with a standing ovation and cheers for his health.
"The 74-year-old provocative Nation of Islam leader, who has endured a series of health setbacks, didn't speak from the Quran but from the Bible.
"Even though I am a Muslim — I don't apologize for that — I'm also a Christian," he told the crowd at 1210 W. 78th Pl. "Islam considers the Bible a sacred book."
"A good Muslim is a Christian, and a good Christian is a Muslim," he added later, stressing the common aspects of the faiths. "Whenever Christ's name is mentioned, I feel at home."
"Farrakhan flashed a wide smile as he entered the sanctuary alongside his friend, the Rev. Michael Pfleger."
They guest-speak at each other's churches. Pfleger appears at Trinity, Farrakhan appeared at Pfleger's own church, etc. etc. These guys all hang together----DUH!
Avner, the Clintons (esp. Hillary) and Obama have many of the same associates, mentors, supporters; Obama is the political "son" of Hillary in many many ways; this is why the Dem. party is so divided now. If you don't like what the Clintons did regarding the Balkans, you will likely hate what Obama would do much much more.
Hey Minister F.: If Islam considers the Bible to be a sacred book, why are they forbidden in several of the 57 Islamic States?
Yes.

St Michael Society » Pope John Paul II, Pray for Us!
Today, Good Friday, marks the 5th anniversary of the death of beloved Pope John Paul II. We are so blessed God made him the leader of the Catholic Church at a time when the world so badly needed it. The pope played a huge role in the fall of Communism and in helping to lead the youth of the world back to Christ.
He is dearly missed by millions. But, as Catholics, we know we have advocate for us, praying for us, praying for our conversion and peace.
Good Morning America featured this morning a man who was seemingly miraculously cured by the late pope. He was suddenly able to walk after being crippled for years. The miracle has to be verified through a lengthy process. Here’s the video:
