Can I choose my birth name as my confirmation name?

My confirmation in the Catholic Church is coming up, and I need to choose a confirmation name. My name is Monica, and I was wondering if it's OK, or common if I chose my real name as my confirmation name, because I want to choose St. Monica.

Well, I was thinking about what some of you said, when they announced my name during confirmation it would be

"Monica Maria (thats my middle name) Monica then my last name"

And in a group of 8th graders, they'd likely be immature, and laugh at that, which is why I've chosen another saint.

I've chose St. Rose of Lima, and personally I think It sounds nice all together

Oh, and I was raised a Catholic to the person who asked.

    The sacred days of the Easter season are quickly approaching and parishioners and visitors who want to know the times of the services can access the information here. 

    There is a change in the time of the first Sunday mass both on Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday.  The first mass will be at 7:15 am (not 7:40 am). The other masses are at 9:00 am, 10:45 am, 12:30 pm (Spanish) and 6:00 pm as usual.

    The anticipation masses on March 27 are at 5:30 pm and 7:15 pm (Spanish).   Processions for these two masses begin in the St. Ambrose Center (the gym) with the blessing of the palms and the reading of the Gospel.  On Sunday, March 28, gather also in the St. Ambrose Center for the procession to the church.  If walking is a problem, please be seated in the church and blessed palms will be brought to you.

    Prayers needed for Patrick Trainor | Saint Monica Catholic Church

    Please continue to pray for Patrick and his family in this time of need as Patrick’s body was recovered after a tragic accident.  Pray for strength and courage for his family and friends to be able to carry on as they remember his wonderful personality and presence while bearing the cross of this tragedy.  Arrangements have been made for Patrick.  Visitation will be at Cathedral High School on Friday, March 26, from 4:00-8:00 pm, and Saturday, March 27, from 9:00-11:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.  To read more about Patrick, here is the link to the Indianapolis Star .
