religion church

i am catholic, and doing a project for my church history class in the time of the reformation. i have chosen Scientology, and i am not sure where it started from, like what religion was it before they reformed and became there own religion? HELP! you get kudos!

Scientology didn't branch off of anything a Science fiction named L. Ron Hubbard made up some stuff about Alien thetans sticking to the souls of people & messing them up in all kinds of ways. It starts I believe with his book Dianetics. It's a religion that brainwashes people into thinking that they're brainwashed & the only way to not be brainwashed is pay a lot of money to the church of scientology for expensive auditing & courses.

In the exacting, evidence requiring nature of science has there ever been any evidence to disprove evolution and the convictions of the state from their own perspective?

By the same token, by the faith, scriptural & biblical acheological based perspectives of the church & religion (religion,not in the label definition, but in the broad term of the denominational umbrella) has there ever been more contradictiion by their own evidence than fact?

Try to answer that without an emotional response!

This is not a question to run down other religions. I am new here and would like to get to know some brothers and sisters in Christ.
