My brother wants to get a cross pendant on a necklace, but he's an atheist like me. He says its just a style thing. What say you?

Interesting... what kind of "sytle" is it that wants him to wear a cross, like freakazoid goth or something...

I'm prolly not the one to ask, since I dislike seeing it on ANYONE. It is a symbol of torture, not to mention a reminder of the slaughter of thousands of peaceful people, in the name of that symbol.

So, I equated this to the question, would I, as a pagan, consider it inappropriate for a non-pagan to wear a pentacle, just for show?

The answer is that it would bug me a little, since it is a special symbol for us, but it would make me hope that the wearer would be curious enough about paganism to find out more about it and possibly follow it as their spiritual path.

So, if THAT happened to a non-Christian, ie, the non-Christian cross wearer got curious about Christianity and decided to research it, and then decided to (perish the thought) convert.....

THEN I would find it objectionable. Wearing a symbol that ends up leading an innocent non-Christian into that religion would, to me, be horrible. Another mind wasted.

If the religion was Christianity.

Other than that, I would just think it would look silly for him to wear it. He is portraying himself as something he is not, and hopefully won't become.

How old is your brother? Is he so young that style is more important than substance? With all due respect, it sort of sounds like it.

What is it and what does it symbolize? Is it two or more pieces of jewelry? Like a set?

Is it worn all the time? Does it help her at all or is it just jewelry? As in, does it have a power or property that makes it useful?

Well she has a necklace and a bracelet. The necklace has no significance but the bracelet is used to "train" vampires.

Zero has a tattoo on his neck that is the same design as Yuuki's bracelet. When she presses her bracelet to his neck tattoo it's like daggers are pinning Zero down if he ever is to totally lose it as a Level E vampire!
