I have a small 14k white gold celtic cross from Fawlers jewelry in Ireland (got it as a gift from an ex). I don't want it, but I don't want to pawn it. It is hallmarked, so I wrote Fallers, but they couldn't help me with the value. Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can figure out the value of it...which probably isn't much...I don't want to get jipped by a jewelery store or pawn shop. Comments...suggestions?

On 2/5/2009 I was at local mall and visited Kay Jewelry store. I've found a 10K white-gold and a stainless cross w/diamond in the center. The 10K white-gold is $899. The stainless cross is $199. I loved the two pieces together. Sale person offered me 50% off total purchase and 12 months 0% interest. So, I applied for store credit and approved for $2,500.00 credit limit. After 50% off for two items ($413 for 10k white-gold neck-let and $135 for stainless w/center diamond). I ended up buying it. When I got home, I was little regretting paying pricey tags for two items. I was told, gold is very expensive today. I am still in love with the set. Do you think is worth it?

The best thing to do at such a moment is go home and think about such a purchase if it's allot of money for you, just be happy with your purchase now and convince yourself it's worth it ;) You make the price!

My MOH is religious, loves kids, the TV show "Friends", crosses (we just bought her a cross necklace for her bday) and white gold jewelry. She is 24 years old, single and African American.

Here are the sentimental gifts I am getting for my bridesmaid:

1) Bridesmaid #1: A glass plaque that reads "This is the day that the lord has made, so don't mess it up!" (she's religious and has a great sense of humor)

2) Bridesmaid # 2: A journal that has a painting of a nurse on it and all this funny, hospital stuff going on around her (She's in nursing school)

3) Bridesmaid # 3: A bookmark w/a poem about sisters who are different, but love each other unconditonally (it describes our relationship PERFECTLY and she loves poetry)

how about a charm bracelet. Get charms like a cross, something do do with kids, a friends cahrm and otehr things she likes. and a MOH charm or something to resemble the wedding
