wire cross necklace

i am making celtic cross necklaces out of wire. i have found several good pics on the interntet, but i need better patterns with interlocking designs (so i dont have to cut the wire much). i would appreciate any ideas or sites. also, i bought 16 gauge wire, but im not sure if 18 would be better. help would be appreciated. thanks

A few years ago, at YC Alberta (www.ycgeneration.com) there was a vendor in the YC general store who had cross necklaces and fish necklaces for sale. They were simple, on a black cord and if you came back year after year, they would re-wrap the wire and give you a new cord for free. I can't remember the name of the company, and am wondering if anyone knows what I'm talking about? I have searched the internet high and low and can't find anything. I would love to buy a new one!
