i went to some store and he told me it was $900...i seriously doubt it.

But I'll take the time to explain it to you. Pure Gold sells for $925 an ounce as of this afternoon. 18KT gold is 75% pure gold. A good goldsmith is paid more than $60 an hour for his work. White gold is a high ticket item because it cracks sometimes when worked and cannot be remelted and reworked so mistakes are costly. Therefore the goldsmith must work more time on it. SO, if it takes 5 hours to make the pendant and it costs $750 to make, then the store has to factor in profit, paying the sales clerk, rent and insurance you may be getting an extraordinarily good deal to $900 for the pendant. Did it include chain.? thats several hundred dollars more if it did.
