I really love my friend and I told her that. The problem is she has a b/f. He treats her like garbage and I get along with her so well. She told me I am so charming and if she were single I would have a chance with her. It really is tearing my heart apart. We work together and I can never wait until i get to see her again but it hurts so much that i can't be with her. I make her laugh and when he puts her down she always says I put a smile on her face. Im looking for a christmas gift that can really mean something for my boyfriend. A break-apart heart charm, with our names engraved, would be ok? I mean.. i don't want him to look gay. If it's ok, what's better: gold or silver? We've been dating 3 months and the best friends since 1 year and a half. It's a necklace or a perfume :D
he's not a punk or rapper...he is just a normal guy (16 years old) who is deeply in love, even waiting until marriage

i wear necklaces sometime, but only shell chokers (got one with a cross from american eagle and one in mexico, goes for the californian-beach look)
if you were to do something like that, i'd suggest getting something that looks cool so that he will want to wear it (like a shell or leather necklace). most guys do not want to wear shiny small chains and / or hearts around their neck in public. if you would be happy with him only wearing it in private / when he is around you or just keeping it as a reminder then i would probably go for it. but if you would expect him to wear it in public then don't, because chances are that it will make him uncomfortable and then he won't wear it and then you will get upset (i know you girls =P) and that may cause unwanted drama and even be a stumbling block in your relationship. remember, us guys aren't always looking to fulfill your fairy-tale love-story expectations, especially if we don't even know about them (it's important to realize that life NEVER happens like Twilight or High School Musical or any other movie / book)
just a few things you're gonna want to think about before buying him a big gift like this. if you were married, that would be another thing, but for now you have to think like you're just teens that are dating.

does anyone know the name of a charm that say"the lord watch between me and thee,while we are apart one from the other" it is ususally in a heart shape that gets broken in half and each person wears one on the halfs and when together it become whole again...i thougth it was called a mitpah..but i guess not ... would appreciae any and all help;;;thanks in advance!!!! sincerely..donna
