Craft Heart Charm

I've tried looking at a Micheal's craft store but their selection was terrible. I would think that a clear crystal heart charm would be easy to find but it's not. I've even tried Wal-mart and Kohls. Also I'd rather not do e-bay just because I don't want to wait and shipping is insane on there these days. So if anyone else has any suggestions where I can buy these things IN STORE and not online I would love to hear it.

try a hobby lobby, or any craft store you can find!

He is talking about poetry (I labour by singing light). Poetry is music - light music, so light it is soundless, but to say it is soundless is wrong because poetry is full of sound and it's silent music almost - y' know what I mean?

So, he's saying he doesn't do it for pride or for ambition or to get by but does it for love, basically.

It's really very beautiful and I wish I could get to a place where I don't do poetry for ambition and all that, but just for love. I'm a poetess - poet-e-s-s - my picture's all wrong!

Anyway, that piece is just beautiful, just beautiful.

I need help with some of the lines like 'with all their griefs in their arms' and 'singing light'. His attitute? Intended/unintended audience? The reward he mentioned (what he wants/does not want)? The irony and theme?

this is from dylan thomas' 'collected poems' - and is one of several poems in that book which tell us why thomas wrote poetry.

in the first strophe thomas tells us that he does not write poetry in order to make money or to gain a reputation for himself. he writes poetry because he feels it puts him in touch with people who truly know what love is.

the lovers have 'all their griefs in their arms' as they lie in bed because they have their lover in their arms. if your love is wholly sincere you lover is all your happiness and all your sorrow too - she is everything to you.

(there is an irony here, in that thomas speaks of how lonely it is writing poetry, but says that he does it because it puts him in contact with people who are in love).

in the second strophe thomas goes on to say that he isn't writing poetry to impress any important person who is alive, or even out of respect for the dead. (poems of praise for local dignitaries or for famous dead heroes are not especially common in english - but they are many such poems in welsh. dylan did not himself speak welsh, but many of his relatives did, and he grew up knowing a great deal about welsh culture).

he reminds us that he writes only to do honour to those who truly love. then he reminds us that those who truly love have no real interest in his poetry (they are concerned only with their lovers). (this is a further irony in the poem).

'the singing light' is the candle (or possibly an electric light) in the room where thomas is working. dylan is working at night, but he needs a light to work by. the light enables him to sing, so it is a singing light ('a light for singing by').

Okay, I picked up a plain unity candle because I am going to decorate it myself with blue ribbon and an interlocking heart charm (the theme). My question is, how can I write on the candle? Is their anything special for writing on candles? Or engraving them and adding color? Or special stickers? Or something? I'm not a majorly creative person and don't know much about craft stuff. But I have a beautiful idea for my unity candle and want to write our names and the date on it. So, anyone know of a way to write on it?

At Michaels they have silver and gold pens made especially for writing on candles.

• One thin gold chain
• One large, one medium, and 12 small jump rings
• Two heart charms, different sizes, any color
• Five small star charms, gold and silver
I really want to make this necklace, and I need these items. If anyone knows where to find them, like at a place like (michaels, target, any jewelry or craft store) please answer!

Michaels and Wal-Mart both carry those items...you might have to go to both to get all the items, though.
