Patron Saints of horses?

I have looked all over the net looking for the Patron saint of horses or horse-riders. None of the sites when checked with another were the same. I was hoping to find out and then find somewhere I could get a metal of that saint for my sister for her birthday tommorow. Please help!

There are more than one Patron Saint of Horses.
Saint Martin of Tours probably will be the one you might be looking for. He is the Patron Saint of Horses, Horse-Riders, and Soldiers. Nov. 11 is his feast ( the day he was buried)

Patron Saint(s) for gambling?

Especially for horse races.

If you have a gambling addiction then the Saint you want is St. Bernardine of Siena, if however you are looking to the Saints for luck in gambling then you are out of luck I`m afraid.
God bless.

I am deciding between two uncommon but beautiful names?

Felicity- It is of English/Latin origin and means "happy, good luck, good fortune" The saint Felicity is the patron saint of pregnant mothers (and other stuff relating to children) Felicity is more heard of than Rosalina, I'm told. Felicity goes better with the last name.

Rosalina-It is of Italian/Latin background and means "tiny, beautiful rose, weak, horse" Saint Rosalina is the patron saint of Sicily. It is so pretty!

Which one would you name a child if you had to choose?
Are they timeless names? Thanks everyone!

Ahh this is a hard choice! lol I love both. I think both sound timeless.

Felicity sounds gutsy and independent, and very feminine and sweet at the same time.

Rosalina just sounds like a princess; really romantic and flowing and soft. Plus, I think the nickname Rosie (or even Lina) is absolutely adorable.

If Felicity goes better with the last name, then that would probably be the deciding factor for me, and I'd go with Felicity over Rosalina. I'd suggest Felicity Rosalina, but maybe you should save it in case you ever have another daughter, because these two names would make a great sibset too lol.

  • Verona and Venice -

We are off to Verona and Venice, after an early breakfast at the Florence Metropole Hilton, which is far outside the city center and has a front traffic gate they lock at night...this is part of the reason I won't miss Florence. While I loved the art and the drive up from Pisa was gorgeous, with fields of red poppies in amongst the dry grass, we were far outside of Florence itself. There was nothing about the city itself that I really loved. It just was not a place I liked very much.

I have a feeling that the Verona stop, which was explained by Alessandro, our tour guide, as, “A stop to see the famous balcony where Juliet lived....or so the story goes,” was really a timing issue. I think the tours plan them so that the hotel, where a large group of tourists has just checked out, can clean the rooms before another large group of tourists (us!) check in for two nights. At any rate, it was a nice town, with an existing, small Colosseum in very good shape (far from downtown) and a lovely town square with an herb market. We did indeed go into the inner courtyard to see “the Juliet balcony” but did not pay to get into the house. Shakespeare did not live there and I personally think he just liked the name “Verona.” On the walls of the hallway leading to the courtyard are thousands of declarations of love, some pinned on little notes.
