beaded jewelry necklace

I make beaded jewelry and wanted to start selling some of my work. Would you prefer freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals, glass beads, or...?? Also, would you wear beaded bracelets, necklaces, and/or earrings? Do you prefer certain colors? Just curious what type everyone likes the best.

wood and glass definitely. I like bright colours, like electric blue, orange, yellow, red, pink, purple, green and neon shades. I also like swarovski but I don't wear them often.

Hi! If you're looking for jewelry trends for the spring and summer, I think I can help. I have a web site that helps jewelry makes and designers market their creations. I've written several articles on jewelry trends for 2007.

The favored color this spring will be variations on the color blue with denim blue being particularly strong. You'll also see blues ranging from an aquatic shade to a deep aquamarine. The new blues will be paired with a variety of neutral shades due to the emphasis on natural and organic.

Surprisingly enough, you'll see black and white color combinations staying strong into the warm weather. In general colors will be more muted with grey undertones this season as opposed to the bright shades of the past. Think natural, neutral and muted.

Wood and stone beads will be popular this spring and summer which is consistent with the natural theme. Gold and goldtone beads will be strong along with highly textured metal jewelry in gold shades. Look for an emphasis on big chains combined with dramatic pendants as well as cuffed bracelets of all types.

You'll see alot of mixed metal jewelry with a variety of unusual finishes. Freshwater pearls will continue to be popular especially when paired with a variety of gemstone beads such as garnets, sapphires, and rubys.

As far as length and size, longer necklaces will be popular and will often be worn several at a time to create a more dramatic effect. Longer, drop earrings will remain in style, with those that incorporate gemstones being particularly popular.

I design and make beaded jewelry. While I've had some success with my pieces (both the gemstone and glass beaded pieces), I'm wanting to expand my hobby into an actual business. Please let me know what kinds of beaded jewelry appeal to you. I make necklaces, bracelets, rings, anklets, earrings and toe rings. The rings & toe rings are still pretty experimental, but the others have designs well underway, and I've made sales in those areas.

do what i do and just make what feels good to you and wear it so people can ask where it came from! i like the beading with wire around them but cant figure out how to do it yet.

I make jewelry with beads and twisted wire. I have sold a few pieces but I mostly make pieces as gifts for friends and family. I tried selling a few necklaces on Ebay but they never sold. Does anyone have advice on how to sell handcrafted jewelry? Thanks!

I like going to the markets... there are sure to be craft markets somewhere in your area. However, you could always try leaving some on consignment at a trendy boutique whose outfits you think your jewellery would complement. Just make sure you do it with receipts and an agreed method of payment in writing.

Look for the right are, one where there are varied boutiques, cafes, maybe hairdressers and an area that attracts the right crowd. The best form of advertising is to actually wear your own jewellery. It's amazing how often someone will ask where you got it. best of luck.
