I bought a ring a while ago and when i bought it they told me the kind of ring it was and the whole story behind it and i can not for the life of me remember what they said the name of it was...... it is tecnically 3 rings in one. when you look at it closed it is two hands clasped but when you open it up there is a heart on the center ring.

the story behind it is that it is given as an engagement ring the woman keeps the ring with the heart on it, the man keeps on of the rings with a hand on it and whoever the best man is keeps the other ring with the other hand on it. on the wedding day all three rings are put back together and places on the brides finger as the wedding band.....

someone help me figure this out please

I posted the same question earlier - hahaha - but I'm ridiculous and I posted the wrong picture link. My friends and I got matching necklaces and the lady who sold them to us [at the Renaissance festival] said it was a friendship knot. A man at a celtic jewelry store informed us that it was a protection knot. Another man said it was a lover's knot. So, I'm not too positive on the meaning.

Do you have any specific pieces of jewelry that you wear every day? Are they special to you for any particular reason, or do you just like them? Any good stories behind them?

I have a necklace my boyfriend's mom gave me which is a symbol of good luck that is also supposed to keep bad spirits away (boyfriend's mom is Taiwanese). I also have a ring my boyfriend gave me (a heart of pink stones) that I wear on my right hand and a ring my dad left to me when he died that, thanks to the advice of some nice people in the ettiquette section, I am now wearing on a chain around my neck. :) I also have a choker with a pendant with the face of the Green Man on it, because I'm proud of my celtic roots. Yes, I wear three necklaces every day. I wear my Princess Leia watch (from Burger King!) every day because Princess Leia is awesome, and also I need to tell time.

Oh almost forgot. I amost always wear earrings (three of them; I've got two holes in my left ear and one in my right), but most of my earrings don't have any special meaning behind them and I just wear whichever ones strike my fancy that day. :)

I wear a wristwatch. I wear a ring the ring-finger of each hand, both were gifts and neither is a wedding ring. I wear a labrys pendant, a symbol for lesbians that comes from the legend of the Greek Amazons, because I love the association with a culture of strong women.
