what does it mean?
Means that you are keeping your feelings tightly under wraps and so your heart is blocked up...the energy is not flowing...and you can try to protect your heart but your back will always be exposed...
I am doing this reading for a viewer. The question is should I try to get back together with my boy friend? I want marriage, but I don#39;t want ...
I'm a beginner to using Tarot cards, and I recently did a Tarot Celtic Cross Love spread reading for myself. I am thinking about pursuing a new relationship (hence the love celtic cross reading). I am curious to see what your personal interpretations are of my reading. Here are the cards and their positions:
1.) Wheel of Fortune in Love & Me position
2.) Eight of Coins in Situation position
3.) Ace of Wands in Challenges position
4.) Six of Cups in Background position
5.) Ten of Swords in Recent Past position
6.) The Hanged Man in Higher Power position
7.) Ten of Cups in Near Future position
8.) Magician in Issues position
9.) Knight of Coins in Your Lover position
10.) Two of Cups in Love Advice position
11.) Ten of Coins in Long Term Potential position
Thank you soooo much!
Hello
You can post your Tarot spreads for interpretation in my forum, see profile, although you do have to give what you felt it meant!
If your new to the Tarot, Celtic Crosses are best left due to their complex nature! There are far easier spreads to learn with.

I just had a tarot reading done, but am having trouble deciphering the overall meaning. My question was basically, "what is happening in my love life?" This is what the placements were for my 11 card reading:
1. Eight of Swords
2. Six of Cups
3. The Magician
4. Ten of Swords
5. Six of Swords
6. The Hanged Man
7. The Fool
8. The Moon
9. The Chariot
10. Judgment
11. The World
The person helping me with this reading was unable to finish, so I've been left with a partial answer :-/ Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
I do have the placement names here as well, but I don't have any knowledge of what these cards mean in general..
anyway, here it is:
Love and Me
Current Situation
Challenges
Background (Far past)
Recent Past
Higher Power
Near Future
Issues
The Loved One
Love Advice
Conclusion (or outcome)
Forgive me if those titles don't seem correct, this is what it said in the book she had. Hope that helps some.
None of the cards were reversed..
Your interpretation sounds interesting, but I will be honest, I'm not in a relationship and haven't been for a few years now. I didn't think the reading was so negative because of the last three cards..seem like a positive outcome. Thanks anyway.
As I understand the Celtic Cross (have not heard it called "Celtic Love Cross"), you have one too many cards. The first card would normally be the significator, which is chosen and not at random. Eight of swords is not an appropriate significator.
The positions are:
1. Cover - covers the significator
2. Cross
3. Above
4. Below
5. Behind
6. Before
7. Self
8. House
9. Hopes and Fears
10. Outcome

I used the Celtic Cross for this, and there's a minor change in there between the 7th and 9th placement meanings as I've been using The Idiot's Guide to Tarot Reading as training wheels. Practice makes perfect right? =]
*(R) = Reversed*
I asked "How can I attract more men/love into my life this year?"
1. (Me) Justice Reversed
2. (Supporting/Opposing energy) 9 of Cups
3. (Foundation for the matter; Reason for asking) Judgment Reversed
4. (The Past) Queen of Swords Reversed
5. (Free Will) 5 of Pentacles Reversed
6. (Manifestation; Near Future) 9 of Wands Reversed
7. (Hopes and Fears) Knight of Cups
8. (How others feel & are connected to my question) The Hermit
9. (What I have to go through in order to reach the outcome) 6 of Cups
10. (The Outcome) The Tower
So upon first glance, I see there's a lot of resistance going on because of the 5 reversed cards. To me, this spread is saying I see my love life as unfair but it isn't (Justice Reversed + 9 of Cups), and that I've been afraid of rejection because I've been hurt in the past. (Judgment Reversed + Queen of Swords Reversed) I have the ability to accept my losses but I don't have the energy to? (5 of Pentacles reversed + 9 of Wands reversed. **I don't know whether the 9 of Wands is telling me I shouldn't be so guarded, OR if it's saying I need to rest in the near future). I've been hoping for and looking for a fairy tale romance (Knight of Cups in the 7th position + The Hermit) when what I'm looking someone from my past? (The Hermit + 6 of Cups) Or is it saying I'm living in the past? And then we reach the conclusion, that something unexpected will happen (The Tower).
I feel pretty confident about my interpretation of cards 1-7, but it's 8,9, and 10 I'm having trouble combining. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
What indicated studies besides 5 of Pentacles reversed? I wish I could see it that quickly!!
Okay well looking solely at cards 8-10 it looks like others wish you would concentrate on your studies rather than jump into a relationship, the 6 of cups deals with the past, you may need to tie up loose ends with someone from your past, you may even be dating someone from your past. The Tower as the final outcome is a warning for you to try to be better prepared. The are many unexpected things that could arise, but if you prepare yourself wisely then the Tower could bring good luck to you.
I've never known the 5 of Pentacles R to mean study it normally means a return to work after a time of unemployment or business picking back up. It also means to become emotionally stable and a feeling of security.
The Hermit means a time for study mainly SELF-study. A good time to take a class on a subject of interest or do some meditating.
I really really enjoy to read about the ancient worlds. Who wouldn't? We find new things all the time, about the ancient past- and I find it intensely fascinating.
Anyway- one of THE most fascinating things I've read in a long time is what one man figured out about the Celtic Cross: It's an ancient navigation tool.
I know you will really enjoy reading this! http://www.viewzone.com/crichton.html
BTW I AM a Christian- I'm not trying to say anything that Jesus wasn't crucified on a cross- I just thought it was purely fascinating that the ancient folks were very advanced. And when you read the Celtic "myths" about the Tuath deDannan- who "came across the ocean" Well- they had to be the ones who used this ancient sextant! Cool
Very interesting link--thank you for posting.
The celtic cross is yet another example of what I call "convergent" elements. That is, though it might have predated Christianity, it doesn't mean it is not a Christian symbol. Concepts like linear time are human inventions, so God is not constrained by them. Why would He not have left mankind clues long before the coming of the Messiah?
Some folks are offended that so-called "pagan" aspects are embraced by some Christians, but however truth is revealed to us, God is the ultimate source.

...What You Always Thought: Cross
A special event that happened recently has changed my outlook on our struggle and the situation facing our sacred country. That event was the peaceful, sensible, mature debate with the Christian Party leader George Hargreaves and a large number of Christian Party members. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire debate which was noticeably absent of the usual hysterical fanaticism of the liberal-left. It made me think long and hard about a new dimension of our struggle: our Christian religion, culture and traditions. In the past too much emphasis has been placed on the ethnic aspect of our present national dilemma, whilst the longest running feature of our identity has been overlooked: the fact that our country has been held together and guided for millennia by our common, ancient religion: Christianity....
