Pandora jewellery - charm bracelet question?
MAWI Minnie Inspired Two-Ring Pendant

Has anyone who owns a said bracelet experienced stretching or loosening of the bracelet?
Mine is sterling silver and has only one charm on it at present, and though it was given to me only 6 or so days ago, I have noticed it has loosened around my wrist.

Just wondering if this is normal, or if anyone has had the same experience?

Thankyou xo.

no i dont think that it streched, but since it only has one charm its supposed to be loose, once you get more charms it will become tighter on your wrist. dont worry, i have that same concern when i first got mine.

happy holidays!

My Style Delux Charm Jewellery Kit from Flair Review

How can I make charms for jewellery using my own photos and images?
Bracelet without ribbon

I am setting up a handmade jewellery business and would love to be able to make charms with my own photos. I have heard of shrink plastic but I can't seem to find any UK suppliers.
Thanks

There are lots of ways of making "charms" with photographic images on them besides using shrink plastic and I don't even know if it would work all that well. If you're really interested in finding and using shrink plastics though, check out this page at my site for brands, lessons, tips, etc.:
http://glassattic.com/polymer/MISC.htm (...click on SHRINKING Plastics)
Then try googling a brand name or just "shrink plastic" in quotes along with the word UK.

Other ways though are to basically just decoupage images (photos, photocopies, inkjet prints, magazine images, etc.) onto a surface.
Or to put those images under a coat of epoxy resin or epoxy glue (or cast in molds with polyester resin) or just under several layers of gloss polyurethane... other things will work too but may be more scratchable so give a final coat of polyuethane.

There are various ways to "transfer" images too from transfer or other special papers or to make "decals" that can be put anywhere you like.

There's more info on those things on these pages at my site if you're interested:

What kind of glue do I use for bubble charm jewelry?
Modified Japan Raven Bag Charm

I have a charm blank, and a bubble. Here's a pic of what I mean.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie wItem&item=380136092907&ssPageNa me=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Here's the question - won't just putting glue on top of the picture and sticking the bubble on top with glue leave visible bubbles in the glue, or show the glue through the charm? How does this work?

First, there are many names for putting pictures behind clear glass "bubbles" (also called pebbles, hemispheres, etc.), whether they're inside a charm blank** or not ("charm blanks are also called pendant trays, cabachon settings, bead frames, or photo "Italian charms," and even metal bottle caps are often used).

The technique when using a glue is pretty much the same though. Several types of glue will dry or cure very clear and can be used with paper, glass and/or or metal. The most common one used is probably E6000, but 2-pt epoxy glues and even strong permanent "white glues" (like The Ultimate by Crafters Pick, e.g.) can work too, as well as acrylic mediums, etc. The paper is pressed to the glass quite firmly so there should be no bubbling afterward.

Check out some of these pics and lessons, etc:
http://www.google.com/images?q=glass+peb ble+magnet

Pics are also put into "cells" like these charm blanks as you call them (or into cells made from polymer clay or other things), then covered with resin to create pretty much the same effect.
An epoxy resin works best in this situation, though even 2-pt epoxy glues can work in small applications like this (I've heard that Devcon 2-Ton 30-min-set is the clearest brand).

Some images-on-paper will need to be sealed before using with resin, or glues, to avoid transparency of the paper and also possible bleeding of the inks/etc depending on their type, etc. That can be done with a quick thin coat of diluted white glue or with ModPodge, or if used with resin with a quick light coat of resin.

Hi, I think your makings r very nice.
You could sell at flea markets, but make sure you have a nice set up on your table.Take a table cloth of one solid color or buy cheap material at Wal-mart and take small boxes and put under the table cloth so that you have different heights .It makes it more appealing. Then lay your makings on the boxes and on the table. Make sure you have a price on your stuff .Use little jewelry tags.
You can also start selling at craft shows .
Hope this helped
