I have seen fish Christian jewellery, but I do not understand why. I always thought of Jesus being symbolised as a lamb. Can you please shed some light?
at one time Christians would face death if they were discovered to be a christian......so if one person walked up to another, not knowing if he/she was a fellow christian, one would draw a curved line in the sand, (
If the other person was a Christian, they would respond by doing the same, )
The 2 lines would cross and form the fish symbol....ultimately leaving the sign of the fish....both would then understand they were safe.

I mean if Jesus would have died 30 years ago everyone would be wearing electric chair jewelry. Creepy. I understand what it symbolizes but why not a tomb? And why not the fish? Why are these symbols only used in certain areas and not others?
lol I guess the horizontal symbols go better with vehicles. Which leaves the vertical symbols for jewelry. Hell, I don't know. lmao

I am 16 and I am a sophomore in high school. I go to a small private Christian school and have been in private Christian schooling since my second 6th grade year. (I had to repeat 6th grade because my elementary school never knew how to teach me because of Dyslexia and now I am doing great getting almost all A's and B's for the most part. I have an A or B in every class but English I believe which I have a C in because it's hard)
I kind of am very scared of meeting people who I have never met before....meeting people who hurt me more than people in my private schools have or elementary school kids have. I am scared of going to college which other than that I am very excited to go to because I want to become a nurse. I am scared to meet mean kids or kids who shove God down the toilet and insult me because of what I believe. (I am the only one in my family other than my grandma who believes in God, my brother is the kind who insults me because of what I believe)
I am scared that I am not mature enough. I don't have communication skills outside of the computer or writing. I am not interested in sex, boys, marriage, or anything. I'm not interested in dating, dancing, proms, non-Christian bands, jewelry, or anything. I am interested in things like spin tops, trampolines, jump ropes, balls, pets, animals, playing with little kids, helping others, stuffed animals, and colorful things. I still like disney princesses and have them on my wall as well as I have those fuzzy boards that you color. I have kitten toys all over my room and two fish tanks.
I don't know what the outside world is like. I kind of try to avoid it? I am going to apply for another job monday at albersons or walmart since I didn't get my job at target...maybe I'll get more experience there. I have my license so I am able to go places but the only places that interests me is Petco, petsmart, and the occasional target.
Am I missing out on a lot of things? What is it going to be like for me when I have to "enter the real world"?
I have lived in England (almost 3 years) , Washington (1/2 a year) , California (10 years) , and now NM (2 or 3 years?) . I've moved several times.
I've lived with a mom who abused me since I was 8, but not physical.
I go to youth group mondays but only a few kids and I get shy there.
I have been to counseling. I used to be terrified of people but now I can talk to people and meet people--if I have to, of course.
I don't even know what I am missing...what am I missing?
I occasionally get in conversations with people while at the pet store or other places. I got in a conversation while at petco with Habika, one of my kittens...trying to get her to pick out her own toy by playing with her with different toys....but she destroyed the cat toy isle and almost broke an aquarium. Everyone was wanting to hold her...the people who work there were even wanting to carry Habika around. >.<
I like unforced conversations. I had a volunteer job when I was 13-14 at a nursing home and got quite a lot of experience there getting told off by people and getting asked random questions and taking care of all of them (changing, playing, etc.)
Ran out of room.
At the nursing home I setted up tables, helped people get dressed, helped people get from one place to another, helped the more able people to get out of bed, helped in the activity center and had to run the activity center on my own a lot with a lady who worked there who made me do everything most of the time. I had to sit through hour conversations with older people or go to my "boss" for things. Is that a lot of experience?
I also did volunteer one year helping make sandwhiches and food to give to the homeless.
If you want to be a nurse, you are going to have to learn how to deal with people with different attitudes. Not all of those attitudes are going to be grateful and appreciative. A lot of people can be difficult, rude and abusive. But in order for you to successfully deal with these people, you need practice. At your age, turning yourself into a cloistered nun will not help you deal with the real world. Take small steps into the real world if you have to, as long as you use your wits and wisdom, you will be ok.

You are going to say i'm judging others right? but i'm just giving an example.
This one girl in my class who claims to be Christian wear short shorts and like tank tops and like golden jewelry and stuff to class. and i was like thinking about one verse:
Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments
And she even has a tattoo that says faith on her body. but ugh aren't are bodies temples of the holy spirit? why would she defile it like that. i was thinking.
i mean i don't even wear crosses or have little fish logos on my car. okay to me i think that is like symbols and idols. i won't have those idols. plus i don't need those to prove to the world i'm Christian.
i just think people are more secular. isn't it world to try to fit God into your life, when it's suppose to be the main part of your life? i don't think you are suppose to just do what you want.
i'm just giving an example. can i not notice things? am i suppose to be some blind idiot who doesn't see sin? i am a sinner myself. God gave me eyes i see it. i'm just wondering if i'm alone in seeing how secular and worldy. yeah i kind of feel worldy too but i try to be less wordly. isn't that good?
Well lets put it this way. When I walked into a local evangelical church the other day to look at the architechture of the building, I was greeted by a young man who was happy to show me around. Took me through the main hall, the youth area, the small childrens area, the study rooms and ended up at the coffee bar which was next to the studies materials book store and trinkets etc. On the shelves of books I only found one, one mind you, Bible study book. The rest was get rich quick books, expericences with wealth building (money) and books by the pastor of the church.
Yes I would say they are very worldly and secular.
It is long so i am really sorry.
You may stop in the middle if you get the point, i personally don't like it to much but don't know to change it or not, so i'm 'gonna need some help here. Thanks
Their once was a town called Margarry. It was in Europe. It was a very peaceful place, everyone knew each other, and they were all friends. It was a little island; most people would go there for a holiday although others stayed there for a lifetime.
You had to go on a ferry to get to the island, it would cost $5.00 per person but if you were a homeowner, it would only cost $2.00 for the family.
There was also a huge lake that you were aloud to swim in but you could not go past the poles that were in the water because that’s where the fish swam and there were some fish that bit people.
All the houses stood in a row like soldiers, and every house that was built was to be made out of wood because the man who owned this island loved houses made out of timber, you also couldn’t paint them except if you had permission.
In this little island, there lived a rich family; this family was the Charlson. Steve Charlson was in the company that worked for the island and he had a wife and four children. He had light brown hair and eyes the colour of the sea.
His wife, Alice was a Nurse at the Shellymin’s Children’s Hospital and was thin and looked beautiful with her long golden hair and bright blue eyes.
Their eldest child was Jake Charlson, who was eighteen, and had tried to apply for a job in England, because soon he was going to live there.
With his good looks and his sweet and sensitive personality he got him self a girlfriend.
The next child in line was Jessica Charlson or you might say, Jess or Jessie, as she was known to be called, she had long brown hair, a few freckles and dark hazelnut eyes that glistened in the warm sun. She was pretty, bright and 13 years old.
After Jess, came Maxwell Charlson but he preferred to be called Max. He usually was bullied and teased and had very little friends, he was 11, stubborn and had shaggy, muddy brown hair and a gloomy face. He may have seemed like a terrible child, but actually, he was quite nice. He had a good sense of humor, and would not mind doing a chore if it will not kill him. He all ways got his hard math’s or English or science homework done. He was a fantastic student at the Margarry Christian College.
The very youngest of the children was Caroline Charlson, the seven year old, cute little angel… at least that’s what her parents thought of her, the true Caroline was a clever, tough, out going little rascal, she was cute with her puppy dog eyes and curly blonde hair on the outside but the real her was on the inside.
Then there was their house that was pure beauty. It had a balcony outside every room and it was a 5-storie mansion that looked over the lake, it was LOVELY! Each room had a safe in it just in case they would have a brake-in. In Jesse’s safe, there was her money, her jewelry and her rare CD’s.
In Jake’s safe, there was a book called ‘How To Be A Teacher’ and there was a trophy from the Spelling Bee contest when he was seven.
In Max’s safe there was a CD signed by the country’s best rapper and some money, as well as his camera and PSP.
Then last is Caroline. She had karate medals and karate clothes from her secret lessons, and a medal from the beauty contest she won when she was three and her first lost tooth from a few weeks ago.
In the living room, they had a flat Plasma screen TV in front of their couch sitting next to a coffee table just beside it. They also had all around sound to make the TV sound realistic. In the kitchen, they had a glass table, some cupboards and many top class electronics.
In Jake’s bedroom, he had his bed, his desk with a 24-inch screen Macintosh computer on it, a TV and a walk in wardrobe. In Jesse’s room, she had a mirror, some posters of Avril Lavigne and Brad Pit; she had a bunk bed with a desk underneath it and a 30-inch TV. In Max’s room there were two tickets to a rock ‘n’ roll guitar concert that is called: ‘Rocking My Life’, CD’s for beginner rockers. Also a Compaq laptop and guitar music. His bed was a big one that had a black blanket and in big white letters it said: ‘ROCKSTAR!’ He also had a white plain pillow. On the wall, there were posters of famous musician’s.
In Caroline’s room there was a little bed, on the wall there was a painting of a mermaid sitting on a rock, then in the corner was a little table with a mirror on it and some ‘beginner readers’ books and the carpet was pink and red stripes.
Then in the mum and dad’s room there was a king sized bed, a mirror on each side of the bed and the mirror was resting on a bedside table and then there was a door that led to the bathroom. There was also an indoor pool with lots of toys.
The Charlsons has also had a trampoline that would float on the water. Upstairs was a play room with playmobile, Lego, ac
Sorry, i was supposed to cut out the ferry bit and the bit with the poles in the lake and not being able to cross them
just ignore the bit about the poles and about the cost of the ferry.
sorry i think it was too long cause it cut off the rest.

The most important pieces of Christian jewelry « Tiffany Jewelry BLOG
Along with clothes and accessories, jewelry constitutes some of the most prized possessions people seek. People, from most religions and cultures from all over the world, place jewelry items in high regard. Jewelry starts from the basic wedding ring that is known all over the world as a symbol of marriage, to the most eye catching and expensive solid gold jewelry laced with diamonds and other precious stones. Religion signifying jewelry is designed so that those wearing these items have a way of showing others their devotement to their religion. Christian jewelry for example is very diversified and any one of the numerous items can constitute a great Christian gift for birthdays, and other various celebrations.
The most important pieces of Christian jewelry, that are often times bought by people wanting to make a Christian gift, are the symbol of the cross, the Jesus Christ medallion and the Virgin Mary medallion. These items aren’t even seen as Christian jewelry by those that wear them, but simply as signs of their devotion to God. Even people that aren’t Christians wear Christian jewelry because these jewelry items are simple and elegant, so wearing them doesn’t necessarily need to be a statement, religious or otherwise. Another trademark, and very important at the same time, an item of Christian jewelry that also constitutes a great choice for a Christian gift, is the rosary. This Christian jewelry item is used mostly by priests and religious leaders, but celebrities that convert to Christianity or have strong beliefs in their religion also wear this item as a statement, whether it is a religious statement or a fashion statement.
