Yet the Pagan woman didn't do that to the Christians. Why are some Christians so intolerant of other people's beliefs and why can't they respect other people's beliefs?

I know not all Christians are like that but it certainly seems that there are a number of them, especially on here.

DBSK/TVXQ wears a lot of jewelery with crosses because they're Christians. Do any of you wear jewelery with the cross but you're not Christian?

I am not judging i just want to know. Some (Christian) churches make women wear skirts, no make up, no jewelery, and you are not allowed to hug men in the church when greeting them.

They say you don't have to wear a skirt and do all the above until GOD puts it in your heart but if you go with jeans the stare you down.

I used to attend one like this and i got so mad they tell women to subdue to their husbands why? Haven't we been set free from all that through the death of Christ?

I am a christian, and usually I dont like for anyone to mock the Lord or the churches of the Lord, But I know what your talking about, and its these types of Christians that give us all a bad name, I attended a church like this and christianity is not only a religion its a community where we are all equal black white Mexican etc, woman man child it doesn't matter, you need to find you a good church one that you feel comfortable in and that accepts all, man or woman, rich or poor, and look at it this way, Im sure in Heaven the Lord wont separate us by what we are wearing and who we speak with, A child of God is a child of God, if you feel like you are being treated as if you are underneath someone or if you are un comfortable to the point of your not getting your feel of the Lord then find a new church, theres an old saying I heard, this man was standing outside this big rich fancy church looking in the window and Jesus walked up beside him and the man said, "Jesus Ive been trying to get into this church for a long time but I dont fit in and my clothes are not like theirs " and Jesus said back to him "its ok Child, Ive been trying to get into this church for a long time too"

While buying a Valentine gift in a jewelery store, it occurred to me that the item cost a bit more than the traditional "Dozen Red Roses", but then, as an Atheist, I gloried in the fact that, since I only live once and then die, I should live Life to the fullest of my ability, and that Money shouldn't be of any real concern.
How about you Christians? Is it Diamonds, or Roses & Rosaries?

I have nothing against money. It is a necessary commodity. I like having it; but the times I didn't I learned to improvise and thinking back on those times; they were still good.

Like many books and verses in the Bible, I find 1 Timothy quite absurd. I'm not trying to challenge anyone's beleifs, but I am very curious on this verse:

"I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes."
1 Timothy 2:9

Am I interpreting this wrong or are Christian women not supposed to wear expensive clothing, braids, gold, and pearls?

The type of clothing and jewelery Paul refers to in his letter was worn by prostitutes. Some clothing is designed to arouse the sexual appetites of the opposite sex. Paul was, also, concerned with believers who put more emphasis on outward beauty and not on inward beauty reflected in their character that reflected the image of God. Nothing is wrong with wanting to look attractive, especially when our dress reflects our personal taste and personality. Our sense of self-worth and attractiveness should not be driven by or controlled by the latest fashion and the opinions of others. Age, sickness, accidents all may affect our outward appearance, but our inward beauty can glow brighter through the years.
